Yeah and antibiotics save people who should simply have been more careful and a oided infections in the first place and anesthesia allows women to escape much of the pain of childbirth; clearly running against the Bible. Painkillers cheat cancer patients of the wonderful spiritual joys of an agonizing death,

Perhaps people could stay out of the private decisions other adults make and keep their unproven, specious hypotheses to themselves. But I’m betting not.

Great, except for the fact that nations who have contracepted will cease to exist. Look at the demographics of say Europe, and the demographics of the islamic states. Europe will go to islam in our lifetime, because there are not as many Europeans being born as there are muslims.

Demographics is destiny. The future belongs to those who show up for it. That is just life. Ignore it if you will, but history has shown that when a society chooses to stop reproducing, it dies off.

Bravo Sierra

And here’s why, mega-sex and many children has not helped minority families.

In fact, it has hurt them and society due to feral youth.

There is an economist (can't remember name but he made Freakenomics) who was able to link Roe v. Wade to the decline in crime in the U.S. Horsehocky I say, but he used real stats to do it. Anyone can use anything to prove any theory that they want.

Lets look at this theory: Prescription contraceptives should be available to those who pay to go to the doctor and then pay for the contraceptives. NO gubmint money for illegitimate children. This includes Medicaid, WIC, SSI, etc. What would the result of this experiment be? Would we see a return to the original family?

By the way, I haven't read any posts that advocate abortion as a form of contraception.

But it is the contraception that created the opportunity to avoid the consequence of being promiscuous. It led to the idea of “free” sex.

I would edit that a little - you will proabably agree:

But it is the contraception that created the false notion that it is possible to avoid the consequence of being promiscuous. It led to the idea of “free” sex.

Leftists and dysfunctional people in general should be encouraged to use contraception.

I don’t think that’s horsehockey. The less people there are, the less crimes that are committed. Also, the children aborted were most likely black and/or lower income and/or in broken families: the people most likely to commit crimes.

The Socialization of society with individual as well as corporate welfare, I think, takes most of the blame.

Contraception is the underlying factor responsible for today’s scourge of unwed pregnancies, single-parent families, sexually transmitted diseases, deficient fatherhood, and high abortion rate, says a prominent family expert.

How does one become a prominent family expert? What is a prominent family expert?

Contraception (birth control) is the vehicle that made women think they could behave sexually like men without consequences. That ushered in abortion, unwed mother’s on a larger scale and STD’s. It hasn’t made anything better.

By studying all the idiots that are responsible for unwed pregnancies, single-parent families, sexually transmitted diseases, deficient fatherhood, and high abortion rate.

You comment makes it sound like it’s okay for men to be sexually promiscuous. I don’t know if that is what you intended, but when men are also sexually active they have the same consequences. Just look at AIDS and the gay male community.

I hate to tell you but honestly it may not get any better. You could just kill everyone who has an abortion or uses contraceptives I guess. I mean what else can you do? Make it agains’t the law? That won’t work any better than it used to. It doesn’t work on drugs.

The only way to change things is to educate people to make smart decisions and promote the family unit.

Personally I think that gay marriage (which I am opposed to) and abortion (which I am opposed to) should be states rights issues. If everybody like whats her name Wagglepuss who attacked me for expressing an opinion lives in say Iowa and wants to make it illegal to buy, possess or distribute birth control pills then knock yourself out. Anybody who is opposed can always move to a state where its legal. The Federal govt should not be making these decisions for everyone. These issues are too divisive and there are too many people for and agains’t.

Do you intend to discuss this seriously or be melodramatic?

If everybody like whats her name Wagglepuss who attacked me

You do plenty of attacking. Your post was removed.

You have a nice night.

Unfortunately, pregnancy (intending or unintended) is not the only byproduct of promiscuity. I believe the article does mention diseases (but it's early so I haven't reread it yet). So again, is it okay for men to sew their wild oats as well? I won't deny that it is women who keep men in line sexually. If women stand their ground and insist on monogamous, marital sex then men will have to tow the line. However, they don't call prostitution the oldest profession for nothing.

I don't believe that I implied that. Women, traditionally, were to be virgins until marriage. The "sexual revolution" changed that. There were "good girls" and "bad girls". Society accepted a double standard for the sexes. That doesn't make it right. The "sexual revolution" pushed the idea that contraception now made it "ok" for women to act like men always had. Except that honorable men had not.
