At first glance, the numbers released by the Census Bureau last week showing a precipitous drop in Detroit’s population — 25 percent over the last decade — seem to bear a silver lining: most of those leaving the city are blacks headed to the suburbs, once the refuge of mid-century white flight.
But a closer analysis of the data suggests that the story of housing discrimination that has dominated American urban life since the early 20th century is far from over.
Detroit is not the only American city to face persistent residential segregation, but it is among the worst: it has ranked among the 10 most segregated metropolitan areas in the United States since the mid-20th century (though the rate of black-white segregation there has fallen markedly in the last decade, as blacks have moved into once-exclusive white neighborhoods).
As Detroit’s black population skyrocketed during the Great Migration from the South, the city’s whites fought what they called the “Negro invasion” with every tool at their disposal. From 1945 to 1965 whites attacked at least 250 black families — usually the first or second to move into all-white neighborhoods — breaking windows, burning crosses and vandalizing homes.
When white Detroiters could not win by fighting, they fled to the suburbs. Indeed, for a half-century beginning in the 1950s, Detroit lost nearly half of its population, almost all whites.
Those who left the city cited various reasons: desire for a little green space, new housing, better schools, freedom from crime. Few of them acknowledged the racial motive behind white flight, that words like “freedom from crime” were code for moving away from blacks.

The Left is always going to put the blame on Whitey for the problems Blacks create for themselves.
I guess it’s too un-pc to say that you’d have to be crazy or stoooopid to stick around that city.... so they blame whites.
Or maybe, just maybe, “freedom from crime” is code for “freedom from crime”.

“freedom from crime” is about any race that is allowed to take over areas of our cities and make them un-livable.
White trash, Hispanics, Blacks, Muslims and Asians all have made certain areas a hellhole. But one race is the Champion of this cause. And one race screams “I am the victim” louder then all others put together while they destroy every neighborhood they become a majority in.
Sounds like the Democrats back then were just as racist as they are today....
It’s too late to get into black racism, Coleman Young, filhy unions, democrats, socialists, government welfare, Conyers, (wife in fed prison) Kilpatricks, (congresswoman spawned mayor in fed prison) the projects, welfare babies, taxation, and everything else since Detroit essentially made the metal to end WWII in Europe.
Those were the days.
If this cliche filled article had any value at all he could site other major American cities that also had “White Flight” in the sixties and for some reason lost a quarter of its population fifty years later.
Atlanta, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh for example had similar experiences in the sixties but none lost a quarter of their populations in the last ten years.
Could the real reason be Detroit suffers more than any other city from the plague of liberalism that creates high taxes, no jobs and horrible schools? And that being the case people of all races, creeds and colors fled.

But the only whites left in Detoit are crackheads or liberal tards that still have a false dream of utopia.
For 40 years as liberalism and race took over the city there was no other place in the country where race burned itself like Detroit.
It would appear however that this cycle might be coming to an end soon.
I notice no one ever mentions that blacks in America have it better than any other large population of blacks in the world.
I would like to see a poll taken in Africa asking "Do you wish your ancestor had been taken as a slave to America so you would be living there today"? I bet you'd get 75% "yes".
And so are a lot of blacks.

I skimmed the first few paragraphs. The constant propaganda drumbeat is it is the whites fault. They did this and that then they had the nerve to leave.
