Preschools Are Using a Marxist's Theories to Manufacture Collectivists
American Thinker ^ | 3/27/11 | Chuck Rogér

The room buzzes with little voices. Little children engage in "mature, dramatic play." An adult helps the children "regulate" and "monitor each other's compliance" with "rules and assigned roles."[1] Each child knows his or her place. Each child does the group's bidding, nothing else.

Orwell's 1984? No, a scene played out in thousands of classrooms across America. The drumbeat of collectivism begins in preschool. And a long-dead Soviet psychologist helped define that drumbeat.

Months ago, an email from a teacher spurred me to investigate the theories of Lev Vygotsky (1896-1934). My research revealed starry-eyed academics enamored of collectivism.

The drumbeat of collectivism begins in preschool.

If so, it's already way to late. The two year old American Ego is already raging out of control.

Read “The Children’s Story” by James Clavell. Takes about 20 min to read... and even less time to change an entire classroom of children.

More from the article:

"... such distressing numbers do suggest that the Marxist's ghost has helped render millions of children receptive to collectivist falsehoods.

"In kindergarten and preschool classrooms all over America, tiny young humans are being taught to regiment each other's behavior. Obedient little collectivists are learning to submit to group wishes in order to be judged "correct" -- politically correct."

Children find security in structure, and in the absence of some structure in their family lives (which may be increasingly chaotic), will seek it where they find it.

Caught young enough, few will rebel until they are older, unless parents take the time to provide a counter to the socialist indoctrination.

When children are taught to be responsible for themselves, the desire for freedom follows naturally. When they are responsible for the behaviours of others, despotism often ensues--especially if it is encouraged--because they have little control over all else in their lives. If that seems chaotic, they will try to establish order.

Resistance is futile.

The hell it is.

I guess this is how a majority of voting Americans elected a Muslim Communist President. It’s been going on since schools adopted the Socialist Humanist John Dewey’s philosophy several generations ago.

You and I were brought up in Dewey schools, but somehow got caught on a Rush Limbaugh-type-snag sticking out of the river bank as the rest of the fish went speeding downstream.

Voting Americans did not elect a muslim President. Voting American haters did. Voting haters of the United States did. Voting traitors, idiots, and parasites did.Every vote obama got came from someone that hates the United States of America, but, does not have the decency to leave. How one can hate the Nation that has been so good to you, I do not know. Every vote obama received came from someone who has no principles, no morals, and bad character.

Again, voting Americans did not elect obama. Voting American haters did.

Those American haters were taught their trade on every grade level from pre-school to post graduate. They are taught that the Pilgrims were Indian haters, we were mean colonialists, we engaged in cruel and inhumane treatment of slaves, the Industrial Revolution resulted in robber barons exploiting the working class and on and on... The humane things we did and are still doing is ignored. The good that the U.S. has contributed to the world is downplayed. And it’s any wonder that we get all those people to vote for Obama? I’m shocked that there aren’t more of them...

You hit the nail on the head. In 2012, there will be more of them and less of us. We are dying off and they are multiplying.

Read through the entire article and never did find out what it was that’s going in the classroom. General psycho babble but no specific activity was addressed.

I’d be happy to see children playing and involved in fun activities... most of what I have observed in pre-k and kindergarten is a rush to read, based on the head start programs. Even though by age nine, there is no marked difference between early readers and later readers.

I wish these articles would at least mention that we do not have a federal education system. Education varies dramatically from state to state, and often between counties, and one great principal can make all the difference. My kids have attended great public schools and great private schools.... it really depends on who is running them.
