Ever since he quit smoking, President Obama has been staving off nicotine cravings by reaching for celery sticks. He thinks Americans who help Mexican drug cartels should be “thrown in jail.” And he has an open invitation to enjoy lemon martinis in Miami. These are just a few of the exclusive news nuggets to emerge from the White House in recent days. The new details were not disclosed by the army of White House reporters employed by the country’s biggest news media organizations to track Obama’s every move and word.

That sounds like he really wants to help the Republican.

“Here’s Obama, reading ‘The Dreams of my father”, for the twelfth time.”

"Americans who help Mexican drug cartels should be “thrown in jail.”"

Well, Then he better throw his Director of Homeland Security, his Attorney General and half of his ATF in jail then....

And perhaps even himself.... (If he were actually an American, himself).

Is journalism dead or has it always been a joke? I should have just played with myself instead of reading two newspapers front to back every day, believing most every thing I read, for bout 60 years.

Most of the true stuff these days comes from outside the US. It also depends on the issue / crisis. For Libya I've found UK (telegraph) and India quite accurate.

The news media in the United States will not mention that it's Al Qaeda in Libya until the republican controlled congress ok's Obama's war. Then the US media will try to pin this war (when it goes bad) on the Republican Controlled Congress.

No republicans in congress have come out against this war. Nobody has asked questions in public such as "why are we supporting rebels whose own commander has admitted they have ties to Al Qaeda."

They had better start asking questions soon. It's a lot harder to not support this war once we have boots on the ground.

Republicans do not trust each other because they know most of them do not really stand for anything.

What else is there to expect from a vapid presidency when it’s not rallying for Communism?

How about people pretending to be American citizens?

Journalism was always warped in some fashion. Modern times have added a new twist by turning the august old news organizations into light entertainment, as anyone who bothers to dig a little on the internet will pretty well catch up with what’s really going on.
