I’ve gotten the impression that “dark matter” is the astrophysical equivalent of “here there be dragons.”

The supposed dark matter stuff does seem to behave like what it’s claimed to be, for example make passing light bend and exert a pull upon surrounding non-dark matter, while not interacting directly with light.

The question I’d want to ask is: how can we get any of that stuff here on this earth? What would it be like to handle it?
