I like that show, although I find it based on the UK’s addiction with real estate flipping way too much. Many of the cars they fix up, they only do the basic cosmetic fixes to get it driveable and appear road worthy to buyers. Just like with house flipping.

But I always appreciate people who rescue cars that were cool rides in their day and give them a 2nd life for someone who will use it well, instead of them ending up in the junk yard.

I like the episode where they fixed up a 1980’s BMW 6 series CSI. I remember thinking those cars were damn cool and still catch my eye when I see them on the road.

Well, he had a contract. He agreed to be anonymous. He knew what he was getting. All the dude had to do was drive some expensive cars round a track. Clarkson, May and Hammond have to be the ‘personality’ of the show. They’re the draw. The entertainment. Stig is just a racer in a suit. They’ve got a new one, so obviously the man who was old Stig was not that important.

Yes, I’ve heard Clarkson’s snarks. I suspect there’s quite a lot of ignorance about the US there. The Vietnam special kind of proved that.

I like the show as well. I remember once they had an American CJ7 (left side driver of course) that they rescued. I liked the little VW GTI they did too.

I always think they ask too little for the cars though!

This ties in nicely with Obama’s irrational desire to force high speed rail everywhere that its not needed. It will be if there are no cars.

Clarkson would say, “This wouldn’t be planned for if the Americans built a decent saloon”.

Once again, we are the source of all problems.

Take steps? Europe has long been there. They are willing to trade anything for inordinate amounts of idle time even if that idle time is spent staring the the four walls of their fifty square meter boxes. Only the elites in Europe live a life comparable to ours.

Don’t worry. As long as there is a bountiful supply of nubile young British school girls, I’m sure they will find some way to pass the time... And no cars mean a lot more of those nubile young British school girls will be on foot. Easy picken’s.

I believe she has lots of fancy carriages and horsies available.

Can’t wait to hear what Jeremy Clarkson says about this.

I was just thinking that very same thing. This proposal should prompt a world-class tirade.

Yeah, you got a point...

Remember when they drove through the South with pro-gay and pro-Hillary bumper stickers, thought it was hilarious the locals didn’t like them?

I would love to see them drive through parts of Londonistan with bumper stickers saying “Mohammed was a pedophile” I don’t think they’d be laughing then.

Still, I really enjoy Clarkson’s un-PC (versus cars, tolls and taxes!) attitudes.

Ed

The next war will take care of this either by wiping out the governments that support climate change legislation or ending life in general.

I wonder how they plan to make up all that fuel tax revenue.
I doubt the citizens have much money left to give and even
those who don't drive will also be punished for this idiocy.

Maybe they’ll put toll booths at all of the new pedestrian entrances

I gave up on the three milktoast amigos early on. The Brit version has the visuals, writing, and on-screen chemistry that is tough to match.

Right now the Lorrying episode is on and is one of my favorites.

The European Commission on Monday unveiled a "single European transport area" aimed at enforcing "a profound shift in transport patterns for passengers" by 2050.

I wonder how many of that commission are soon going to be out on their asses or otherwise disappeared in the near future.
