There may be less than meets the eye to President Barack Obama's statements Monday night that NATO is taking over from the U.S. in Libya and that U.S. action is limited to defending people under attack there by Moammar Gadhafi's forces. In transferring command and control to NATO, the U.S. is turning the reins over to an organization dominated by the U.S., both militarily and politically. In essence, the U.S. runs the show that is taking over running the show. And the rapid advance of rebels in recent days strongly suggests they are not merely benefiting from military aid in a defensive crouch, but rather using the multinational force in some fashion - coordinated or not - to advance an offensive. Here is a look at some of Obama's assertions in his address to the nation Monday, and how they compare with the facts:

IMO - what this is about is allowing the Muslim Brotherhood and other Radical Muslim elements walk into a regime that they can easily take over as they did in Egypt.
He is making it easier for them to unite under one banner from many nations. Country after Country is falling in the middle east, even the Saudis have now denounced what he is doing. They too are having a difficult time holding their populations in check. They just distributed billions to their people to calm them.
As they fall, they are being quickly taken over by the most radical forces in the middle east. The MB took over Egypt fast without firing a shot. They are ruling now and are locking people up for a year for being dissidents.
Now Al-Qaeda is on the Libyan battle field and ready to step into place. Why do you think he waited a week before doing anything? For a handful of countries to get together and demand help? No, he was giving them time to move into place. We provided them with air support.

John Bolton also gave an O.K. to go after Kahdafi. Let me think about his remarks concerning ‘declare’ by congress vs ‘make’ war by Obama. It is not congress or Obama at war , it is the USA at war, unless of course both of these are no longer the administraters for the USA.It seems to me in a proper ordering of situations under guidelines/law that you declare something or show intent before you make something. Bolton and Obama with his enablers, would say that in the order of social things that you make before you declare or give intent. I don’t buy Bolten’s and Obabama’s twisted ordering of events. There should have been thorough consideration about Libya before the action being taken’ There was plenty of time if Congress and Obama had been giving attention instead of vacationing. Another case of both neglecting obligations. There was no imminent danger to the USA as proven by absence.
