A museum dedicated to Holocaust victim Anne Frank is expected to move almost next door to the proposed controversial mosque at Ground Zero, it was revealed today.

The Anne Frank Center is reported to be about to sign a lease in the 20-floor glass and steel tower at 100 Church St.

The building's windows overlook Park 51, the planned 16-storey Muslim community centre and mosque at 45 park Place, just two blocks from Ground Zero.

The non-profit making Anne Frank Center, which is partnered with the museum in Amsterdam, is currently housed in a loft in SoHo's Crosby Street. Holocaust victim: Anne Frank hid from the Nazis with her family for two years

But the museum needs more room and last year advertised for larger premises so it could recreate the secret room where the Jewish teen wrote her famous diary.

In response to this outrageous desecration of the 135,792nd holiest place in Islam, the mosque will open a museum next door to the Anne Frank museum honoring those who have served the interests of Islam. The museum will be called the Hans Frank and Karl Frank Museum. Inshallah!

I suppose there were no Nazi organizational offices?

Well, a mosque is good enough.

These muslims do know that the Coat Factory sold pig skin don't they?

That building they want to call a mosque was once filled to the brim with pig. Wonder what Allah is going to think about that.

I think that makes the supporters and investors ‘Infidels’ and a disgrace to Islam. (beheadings will commence shortly)

There already is a great Anne Frank museum, where it should be, where the family hid in Amsterdam. I don’t understand the connection to NYC.

I am so worried about those dangerous Jews being that close to the peace loving muslims. I hope the citizens of New York will rise up against this outrage./s

Good start. I hope the “mosque” site is soon surrounded by a bevy of such things as wine sellers, portrait studios, puppy shops, spiral ham companies, and the like. And a Baptist church and a Jewish synagogue.

Hey, there are a number of legitimate possible neighbors that would make the Moose rather uncomfortable. Holocaust-denial is only one of the Moose’s hobby-horses.

I think perhaps Anne Frank’s experience transcends Amsterdam, and could be considered to have universal meaning.

Load the block with open pit rib joints. that grease will get on everything.

yeah, bawdy houses really wouldn’t be in keeping with the anne frank memorial. better that the neighborhood fill with family-friendly, peaceful enterprises that nonetheless drive the Moose absolutely batty.

Great news! Now if we can just open a 24 hour barbecue joint on the other side of them maybe the Muzzies will go elsewhere

Absolutely, open pit barbecue.

And a big Christian church. Come on, Christians in NYC, I know you’re out there.

*I think perhaps Anne Frank’s experience transcends Amsterdam, and could be considered to have universal meaning.*

Since the holocaust did not happen on American soil, it’s not a frivolous question to ask why a memorial to one specific victim would not be anywhere else but where she lived. There’s already the HMM in DC. I would assume there are already numerous holocaust related exhibitions and/or museums in New York City as well.

Realistically, there should only be one massive memorial/museum dedicated to this historical event and it should be in Berlin, for obvious reasons.

I am no defender of Mohammedism or Mohammedans, but in all fairness, if it is sacred ground, then NOBODY gets to build.
