Flickering credibility
NY Post ^ | March 30, 2011 | Editorial

Here's what President Obama did not tell the American people Monday night in his speech on Libya.

Military intelligence has uncovered "flickers" of al Qaeda and Hezbollah among the anti-Khadafy rebels, a top NATO and US commander told Congress yesterday.

"We are examining very closely the composition, the personalities, who are the leaders of these opposition forces," testified Adm. James Stavridis, NATO's commander in Europe and head of US European Command.

Which is certainly good to know -- given that the US-led military operation has moved well beyond the UN mandate of preventing a massacre and is now overtly helping those same rebels.

Still, he allowed, "At this point, I don't have detail sufficient to say there is a significant al Qaeda presence."

That's hardly reassuring, given that Obama's director of national intelligence, James Clapper, had to learn from ABC anchor Diane Sawyer of sweeping terrorism arrests in the UK last December.

The same Clapper who told Congress just a few weeks back that the pro-terrorist Muslim Brotherhood is a "largely secular group that has eschewed violence."

Frankly, if the US intelligence community is detecting "flickers," it wouldn't surprise us to learn that a Macy's Parade of terrorists is marching on Khadafy.

Meanwhile, coalition leaders, including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, yesterday reiterated that Khadafy must go -- this just 12 hours or so after Obama insisted that "broadening our military mission to include regime change would be a mistake."

Part of this admin’s broad powers of annoyance is that childish game of having different people say different things purposely just to be stupid.

And when someone calls them on it they say “a sphincter says what”.

They don’t even want to “play government” seriously. I guess why bother preparing and coordinating if you can just babble and it suits soros & co plan.

Once you get used to it though, you tune it all out. Every time I see their faces on tv I just switch. Whatever.

“flickers” of al Qaeda and Hezbollah

OR

flicker of honesty regarding enemies of America
whom NATO and Obama are directly helping
(= treason).

This might have been a good thing to do before we went to war for ‘em. Just say’in.

I’m still trying to figure out why NATO is involved here. This action in Libya has nothing to do with the NATO mutual defense treaty and it’s a hell of a long way from the North Atlantic......

Which is why I believe that conservatives who think that the military would resist a coup attempt by the Obamanoids could be dead wrong.

NATO is basically nothing more than an arm of the US Military. They are giving cover to Obama by pretending to take over operations. It will be US Soldiers' blood that will be shed and not Belgian or German. They get funding and we get all the body bags.

Would they detect a “flickering” of KKK members in the Tea party if they could prove it?

We are arming the muslim “bolsheviks” in Libya.

We all know they will take power, not the Westernized English speakers our MSM reporters chat with over there.

We are insane.

Simple.

If Libya blows up in our face, President “Voted Present” will say, “That wasn’t MY decision. NATO made that terrible blunder, not me.”

Even though most of the top generals at NATO are American.
