That may be true but what I stated is the absolute gospel... the fed has killed the oil industry in the Gulf... it is but 1/10 of what it used to be. There are far fewer families making a living in this industry because the industry has been downsized by communist legislation ordained to make us subservient to foreign powers and dim party rule. Tese fatcs are clear to anyone that lives along the Gulf.

There are 28 active rotary rigs working in the Gulf of Mexico now.

A year ago it was in the 50’s. We are recovering, it is far more than 1/10.

Did you miss the entire world economic implosion when those widgets sold for $150.00?

Good, Obama can set an example and get rid of that 3 mpg gas-hog limousine in which he rides.

Yup, and how about all those vacations he, the wookie and how ever the heck many strap hangers he takes with him. I thought the peanut farmer was bad, but this idiot is cater X 4.

I’m saying it. $150.00/oil caused the economic collapse.

Period. there were no other triggering factors. the economy was and is based on a faulty foundation. It requires cheap energy to function.

Yes. Lets subsidize farmers to grow corn and other foodstuffs to create inefficiaent bio-fuels so we can starve the poor of the world. Every cent that food store prices go up, is one cent less for the food pantry down the road that cares for the poor. This idiot makes me desire to have Carter back as president. Scary thought.

Right... The housing boom with people in mortgages they couldn't afford and climbing adjustable rates was meaningless.

He will call for a consistent long-term fuel-savings strategy of producing more electric cars, converting trucks to run on natural gas, building new refineries to brew billions of gallons of biofuels and setting new fuel-efficiency standards for vehicles.

And Unicorns! Don't forget to demand we produce Unicorns.
Pink Ones, that fly like Pegasus -- But won't poop on your head like pigeons. And Flying Pink Unicorns that don't need any food.

I'm sure that Lockheed's Skunk Works could get right on this for DARPA.

Forget Obama's Birth Certificate. I want to see his IQ test score!

I was talking about the amount of people being employed. I am here... I know it firsthand.

The green agenda is not reasonable for the nations needs, develop alternatives after supplying what the country needs, it is totally rediculous to go any other way, another way to strip the people of their money.

You are misreading the Green Agenda.

Their goal is to cripple the U.S. in order to make way for their vision of a worldwide Socialist Order. The U.S. is the only power than can prevent that and reducing our consumption of energy is one of their key strategies. Don't assume that they are so naive as to believe that these so called alternate energy sources will make up the difference if we reduce oil imports. They will be against any energy source that could actually do that. They only support energy sources that can add only minimally to true energy independence.

What about sub prime loans?

If we were allowed to drill domestically, energy would be cheaper. Or, we can rely on the Saudis benevolence and get our good, cheap oil. And when the saudis decide to drop their price so we can no longer afford domestic drilling, they’ll have us by the nether-regions.

It costs an average of one million dollars - up front to drill one well wihtout even knowing it will produce a profit.

Thousands of jobs were lost in LA because of the off shore drilling ban. Knowing that the oil industry is the largest employer second only to the government, think about the high unemployment that would result if producers coould not afford to drill at all.

It is not big bad oil here . It is big bad fed.

And I would bet, since we only produce 5M barrels, those many rigs are on low producing wells.

The Green Agenda is not reasonable for our nation's needs....Drill now, refineries now, shale oil, natural gas ..no limits, this is a national crisis........

You got that right.

Remember, the US gets less than 5% of Libya's oil exports (equals less than 1% of US oil imports). Saudi Arabia's oil exports to us are a minuscule 15% of total output. Which makes US involvement in Libya and the rest of the ME hellholes even more outrageous. The US expects to get THE BULK of its oil from Canada----which now provides a large % of oil the US needs.

The US has vast reserves of energy----coal, natural gas and offshore oil---supposedly "enviro nuts" are holding it back.

We should now contemplate that the pukeneos (and the rest of the ME clowns salivating over trillions of US dollar blanketing the region), might be manipulating the enviro threat to dupe Americans into thinking we are "dependent" on ME oil.

Pukeneo finagling with US foreign policy must end.
