Good analysis of Glenn Beck.

“Beck hired former Huffington Post CEO Betsy Morgan to run The Blaze”

I did not know that. Unless she has had a change of heart about the marxist messiah in the White house and socialism in general, I do not understand this hire.

While Beck is clearly very popular, I question whether he is making any money for Fox. The sponsor boycott program that was successfully launched some time ago has left Fox with a bunch of guys selling gold as their only sponsors for Beck’s time slot. If Beck leaves that will be at least one of the key reasons for his departure.

I don’t watch Beck as his program is not on my schedule and I only occasionally catch him on TV or Sirius.

But the guy is everywhere and apart from his quivering lip crap, I really like his programs.

The detractors are complete blithering idiots if they think his star is falling.

I mean how can a guy draw some 500,000 people to D.C. on a Hot, Balmy August day and suddenly find himself in free fall?

He isn’t in free fall and a whispering campaign isn’t going to bring it about.

I listened to Beck early on radio before he was on TV and before his buddy Pat.

He was funny as hell, preachy but not over bearing.

I can only take a few minutes of beck, too much gloom and doom.

He raises some good points, and mostly I agree with his views, but my brain needs a little lightness not "the end is near".

My 401k is now a 101K, I eat smaller portions of dog food, and I know that 2012 is the end of the world {according to someone, I'm sure}, but I still want to laugh and enjoy life.

Beck to me is like a fine Scotch, with just a little, it's great, anymore makes my head spin.

Look Roger Ailes personally asked Glenn to come over to Fox News from CNN HLN. If Roger Ailes or Rupert Murdock don’t like the product that Glenn is putting out then they can FIRE him. Don’t see it happening.

I turn the TV on once per day and that is only to watch Glenn Beck.

We must support Glenn at every opportunity...every one of our common enemies are 'gunning' for him.

audiences for ALL politically themed programming...cable news, radio talk shows, etc.....tends to fall-off after the end of an election cycle. MSM is hoping we’ll all buy into the spin that this is not a normal cyclical phenomenon.

Beck is "must watch TV". I DVR his show every day. In the last 20 shows, there were only a couple of duds. Where else can you get what he puts out? I'm a little disappointed he talks bad about "birthers" but who doesn't? His "Bible" moments pretty much match my beliefs, so I'm giving him a pass on his Mormon background. I think he must have a staff member warn him when he wants to talk of having our own planets or wearing Holy underwear. Just like most religions, we can agree on many things and keep quiet about the others.

I especially like his teaching on American history. You can't even get this stuff in public school anymore. This comes straight out of the homeschool movement. When he had David Barton on, I knew we would get some good stuff. As far as I'm concerned, Barton is the premier scholar on American history. His collection of original founder documents is phenomenal.

Being scrutinized as much as he is by as many people that hate him, I wonder how long any of us would be able to withstand the scrutiny? He has done well for himself, Fox, and the nation, as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure someday he will have some sort of "messup" with the American people, but I like to look at the total effect he has had. If he repents and is humble about his mistakes, good enough for me. If his fame and fortune changes him into a conceited hack, then he will fall as all others have in the past.

I hope he stays and is moved to a better hour. Although some of his theatrics are a bit much, it is the most informative show I have ever seen on TV. There have been a few times when I doubted his accuracy but upon my own research learned he was right on. To remove this messenger and his message would be a travesty against the Nation. IMO

Thanks for posting this Kaslin - once again, another great find!

I watch, I learn, and I better understand: how to prepare, scrutinize, and help others. IMHO, if Beck had made the another choice that day(s) when faced with continuing to drink or not... America would be a very different place. I often wish I could personally thank him for this very thing.

but he is the only one on the network willing to cover subjects that desperately need to be aired on a popular network.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

......every subject except one of the **most** important of all: Do we have a usurper occupying the White House?

I will never fully trust him after he insulted the birthers.

His radio show is carried by more than 350 stations, and he is the third-most-popular political radio talk show host after Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.

Why is Hannity popular? He's an idiot.

FNC would be crazy to shelve Glenn Beck. Yes, Beck’s ratings may be down, but remember, Mr. Beck generated tremendous interest last year, an election year, I might remind you!!! And...he will jump to the top of the heap, once the 2012 election activity begins to perk. Fox News has other developing problems, Shepard Smith & Bill O’Reilly have both jumped the shark and moved fully over to the dark side. O’Reilly cannot put two & two together, he is so drunk with Obama adoration!!! Last night, I watched Charles Krauthammer take BOR on a “kindergarden” course on Syria/Libya, etc. Stupid BOR asks, why is Obama not taking action on Syria, but on Libya. Fool, Obama is one of the enemy. Wake up!!! FNC, keep Beck and dump Smith & O”Reilly or soon you will become MSNBC!!!

“Unlike other prominent conservative talk show hosts, Beck educates his audience about our country’s history and philosophical foundations.”

Eh? Most of them do. This is not to detract from Beck, but the majority of talk show hosts establish the philosophical and historical premises of our nation and its principles. Sometimes the exact take may be debatable, but fact is that they do refer to these bases.

All you have to do is google ‘cable news ratings’ to see his ‘star’ is not falling as much as the competitors would like it to.
