A famous former rugby player has been arrested in South Africa after allegedly butchering at least three people to death with an axe.
A newspaper claimed the unnamed 34-year-old sportsman had launched a murderous rampage in revenge after his daughter was gang-raped and infected with HIV.
Afrikaans daily Beeld reported that one of the star's alleged victims had been decapitated during a string of brutal attacks which happened last week near Durban in South Africa's eastern KwaZulu-Natal province.
It is believed the man's head was found at least a mile away from his body in a separate suburb of the Indian Ocean city.
Police spokesman Vincent Mdunge told South Africa's Sowetan newspaper the sportsman was being held in custody after being arrested yesterday.
The star is due to appear in court tomorrow to face three charges of murder and one of attempted murder in relation to a fourth alleged victim named Khangelani Mdluli, who managed to escape.
Lieutenant Colonel Mdunge said: 'When they pounced on him they found an axe, which we believe is the murder weapon, clothes with blood stains and a hired car that we suspect he could have used during the alleged attacks.

Justice has a funny way of imposing itself when society fails to apply it...
"The weed of crime bears bitter fruit: Crime does not pay."
Was he arrested because he let one get away?
I say let him go; anyone can make one mistake.
What do they call a field goal in Rugby? It was a hell of a kick.
(I played the game in my youth but I can't remember)
If I didn't spell check, I'd have beat ya.

Think story better understood; if the men attacked, were referenced as the ‘perps’ rather than the victims.
“Murder” is the killing of an innocent.....bad headline there....
I think a fundamental sign of civilization is effective prosecution of rape.
In Islamic countries it is well near impossible, as it takes at least two female witnesses to overcome the witness of one male. This is why women in those h***holes are so hidden away, behind burkas and walls, as if a man catches a woman alone he can basically rape her with impunity.
In African tribal society too, as is typical in traditional (read “primitive”) cultures, women were either property of a man (a father, husband, or brother)...or free to be raped at will.
I think only in the modern Western/Judeo-Christian world did we develop effective laws against rape (going back into the Old Testament, actually)—making the world safe for everyone. This requires a measure of equal rights for women though, that traditional...and Islamic...societies have never known.
Rape like this should be a capital offense. A civilized society must protect the innocent and prevent what is going on now in SA.

If he got the right people, I’d say Not Guilty.
-The crazy idea in Africa is that raping a child/virgin will cure HIV/AIDS is widespread.
The man should be charged with improper disposal of tainted blood and tissue... potential public health hazard.
I tell ya', some people have a lot of nerve....
Not guilty.
Sounds justified to me, too. Now if he can only get that fourth guy to hit for the cycle
The nerve of some people...
In Yemen you apparently need 4 male witnesses who will attest that it was rape or the girl goes to jail for sex outside of marriage.
Not Guilty!
