Rep. Bachmann: 'Democrats Want A Federal Shutdown'

(CNSNews.com) - As a showdown in Congress looms over the federal budget, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) claims Democrats would like to see the federal government shutdown after the current continuing resolution runs out on April 8th.

“We now know that Democrats want a federal shutdown. They’ve said that, Chuck Schumer has said that, Harry Reid has said that and Howard Dean has said that. So clearly the Democrats want a shutdown. They own the shutdown, not the Republicans,” Bachmann said to CNSNews.com.

“They’re allies in the mainstream media will get on board with their talking points and blame Republicans. The problem is not Republicans and the problem is clearly not the Tea Party. The Tea Party, which is a broad swath of America, Democrats, Independents, Republicans, Libertarians, apolitical people, just people that want the country to work again. They want us to cut spending. They also want us to get rid of Obamacare,” added Bachmann.

Then give it to them and let them explain to their Federal Workers why they couldn't cut a measly $100 billion and Obamacare.

I want a permanent federal shutdown. The experiment is over. The results are in. A giant, consolidated mega-republic is an EPIC FAIL.

The Dems “won” the last shut down, and they are confident they’ll “win” this one, too, because the media is on their side and the public is dumbed down.

“They’re” media or should it be “Their media”?

Stupid ignorant reporters. Maybe they should get a job teaching in public skools.

True. But I am hoping things have changed since 1995 as people see how bad Obama, the left, the media and Congress has been since95 and especially since 07.

Does this include the military?

Well, if they are going to shut down some GOP better get out there and explain that Social Security checks, etc dont stop because you know the Dems will be shoutingn that GOP is trying to starve old people...and other than RUSH on his show yesterday I have heard no one out there saying this no wonder we lose the battles and the war.

This does not include the military. The only thing slightly useful that will be shut down will be the Federal Parks. But we will see sob stories, lots of sob stories.

Then this isn’t really a government shutdown. If the military is untouched and Social Security checks are still being issued, then calling this a “government shutdown” is a huge misnomer.

It is debatable whether the Dems won the 1995 shutdown or not. In Congress, the Reps lost very few seats in the subsequent election and maintained control. Yes, Clinton was reelected, but he would have beat Dole regardless.

The national debt in 1995 was a little under $5 trillion. It is almost triple that now.

My first choice is Sarah, but Michelle is a close second.

Either way, I feel pretty comfortable that next year I'll be voting for a female pubbie person {and she will have bigger balls than any male pubbie that is currently in the mix.}

The demonRAT candidate will also be a female, the one that has made a pact with Satan, and will have the fawning press on her bus.
