I have been calling for this approach for months now. Our congressional leaders do not seem to understand this is the way to do it.
You appropriate money for the military, social security, medicaid and border enforcement for homeland security. Probably the FBI. Pretty much what Obama asked for.
The rats pretty much have to vote for these. They at least have to pretend to be in favor of the military and anti-terrorism efforts.
SS and Medicaid are hot button issues that will kill the rest of the bill. So we appropriate them and save them for another day.
Then we let the rats cause a shutdown by voting against real cuts in other stuff
