I’m not buying this. When the government shut down during the Clinton administration, even though it was Clinton’s fault. the voters still blamed the GOP. If the government shuts down we’re going to lose momentum at the least and quite likely congressional seats as a result.

A gov’t shutdown or a busted budget replete with massive spending...I think the choice is pretty clear.
