Freepers,
A co-worker of mine, Chris Morris, at GSFC is going the extra mile(s) to find a cure for MS. His best friend developed MS years ago, and Chris has done a lot over the years to raise funds for MS research. He sponsors "Weiner Wednesdays" lunches (hot dogs with venison chili and chips and a soda, yummmm!) here in our NASA building with all proceeds going to MS research!
Now he is biking across the US SOLO and Unsupported from San Diego, CA to St Augustine, FL (6 weeks) and has garnered about 75% of his goal from donations from his sponsors. Please visit his site, and if you feel like sponsoring him, please do so. or just give a donation! Chris is a real "go to" guy at work and obviously a wonderful friend as well.

His website is at Cross Country Solo!
You can also track him along the way at:
He's now in Del Rio, TX tonight (1 April) and on to Uvalde tomorrow! Go, Chris, Go!
Wow... all by himself? He’ll be passing through San Antonio after Uvalde? I’ll check out his website. Thanks.
Unfortunately I cannot support his effort since I believe his donation will go to the National MS Society, which fully supports embryonic stem cell “research”(torture) including aborted human remains. If I am mistaken please disregard this.
Your friend seems like a decent, kind-hearted individual. God bless his effort to help his friend. But is he aware that he supporting embryonic stem cell research?
A lot of people don’t realize what their “charities’” goals are-—they give generously wanting to help not knowing where the money goes. I don’t support any Komen cancer fundraisers because they support Planned Parenthood, an organization that kills the unborn.
I agree. the National MS Society also fronts for Obamacare and the Dems. Many so called charities and professional groups are.
I am sure his intentions are the best. As a person who has MS, I believe my judgement on this has some weight.
