For some time now, the left has been whipping up a boycott campaign against its favorite bogeymen, David and Charles Koch, billionaire owners of Georgia Pacific.
As the lefties see it, the Koch brothers fund conservative organizations and politicians, like the Tea Party which means, according to Common Cause, that they are moving democracy into the control of more wealthy corporate hands.
(Common Cause, it should be noted, is itself heavily funded by corporate types, including the Kochs left-wing counterpart, George Soros.)
But now, a top official of the United Steelworkers union, International Vice President Jon Geenen, has discovered an inconvenient truth about the whole boycott campaign.
Seems the Kochs run one of the most heavily unionized operations in the country, providing some of the best-paid manufacturing jobs in America.
Which means that any negative impact said boycott might have on Georgia Pacific (which makes consumer goods like facial tissue, napkins, paper towels, etc.) could make union workers collateral damage and the first casualties of a boycott.
Oops.
Indeed, notes Geenen on the unions Web site, 80% of GPs mills are under contract with one or more labor unions.
Moreover, he adds, while some companies are running from investment in American jobs, Georgia Pacific just reached agreements with its primary union . . . to invest more than half a billion dollars in capital . . . at two separate [US] union mills.

Jon Geenen seeks anti knee jerk pills feels a tad bit of catch 22.
One must realize, the union purpose isn’t workers rights. Think, advancement of communism.
Look for the union label - it’s called a price tag and is a minimum of 35% highr than products from non-union shops...
The government union workers don’t give a rip about the private sector union workers who are on the hook for their lavish perks and retirement benefits. They must think that the “middle class” they’re supposedly championing consists entirely of government union workers and no one else.
Just one more reason to buy Japanese cars and trucks.
Private sector unions make their own way, existing within the context of a balancing dynamic in business, even though they have worked to the detriment of various industries.
Public sector unions on the other hand are corrupt, collusive, damaging organizations that serve no purpose other than to perpetuate political back-scratching and greed.
Bad comparison here... To the best of my knowledge, the Koch brothers never attempted to bring down a government, nor are they unrepentant Nazi sympathizers (who was a Jew himself) who accompanied their "savior" while making the rounds, collecting up the valuables of the Jews, shortly before they were sent to death camps.

Not necessarily. Looking at the home products by brand, they produce Angel Soft toilet tissue(available at Walmart/low price bracket/acceptable quality), Madi Gras(napkins available at Walmart/low price/acceptable quality)and Vanity Fair, (napkins available widely, low to medium price bracket for good quality).
Public sector unions have abused their position and their power. They are a blight on our country. Time for them to go.
