Glaciers growing on Mt. Shasta
Ice Age Now ^ | 3/8/2011 | Robert Felix

28 Mar 11 - Although the media has done a great job of covering this up, the inconvenient fact is that all seven glaciers on California’s Mount Shasta are growing. This includes Whitney Glacier, the state's largest.

Yes, growing. Not melting.

Not only are Mt. Shasta's glaciers growing, two have nearly doubled in size.

Both the Hotlum and Wintun Glaciers have nearly doubled in size since 1950, says this article on Wikipedia. The Bolam Glacier has increased by half, while the Whitney and Konwakiton Glaciers have grown by a third.

Scientists first became aware of these growing California glaciers in 2002, and I began writing about them in 2003. Now, eight years later, most media outlets still refuse to acknowledge that these glaciers are growing.

After this year's record snowfall, it will become harder to continue the deception.

Record snowfall

With a record 98 inches of snow during the month of March, and an estimated 6 feet of new powder during the past week, the Mt. Shasta Ski Park is extending its ski season, said an article yesterday on redding.com. ...

Discussing facts with liberal liars (a redundancy) is like bringing an Eskimo Kiss to a gun fight. It's counter productive and plays into their hands.

When a liberal expresses their insanity, regarding this issue or any other, do not bring up data points, rather call them the most foul name you can dredge up, shun them forever and disparage their reputation in every way available to you.

We aren't in a debating contest, this is life and death. At least do the least you can do, cripes!

This is just further proof of global warming.

Anything that happens is just more proof.

Although the media has done a great job of covering this up, the inconvenient fact is that all seven glaciers on California’s Mount Shasta are growing. This includes Whitney Glacier, the state's largest.

Due to inconvenient truths like this, the global warming cult has undergone a metamorphosis and is breaking out of it's chrysalis as the new, improved "man-made climate change". The basis for the new faith is:

a) all weather-related phenomena are bad
b) all weather-related phenomena are our fault

The faith instructs it's followers that they must submit completely to the high priesthood (climate researchers chasing funding dollars and politicians chasing ever-increasing control of our lives). The priesthood charges the faithful with the holy task of reverting to a mid-18th century standard of living, so that Gaia will forgive us for our transgressions and withdraw the awful punishment of climate change.

Don’t you see? Global warming causes MORE ice to grow, too! — Al Gore in a few years.

Actually I read years ago that as it gets warmer, snowfall at lower levels increases. What is happening with Shasta I don’t know, but it does not necessarily mean cooling.

“Shhhhh, they’ll start the global cooling again. I.D.I.O.T.S.”

Warm globally, cool locally!

Climate change causes glaciers to shrink. Climate change causes glaciers to grow. Can climate change do both? Of course they can!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOL! (Runs around in small circles with fingers in ears.)

Sorry, but global warming>more evaporation>more snow is a pretty straightforward argument, and it's been around a lot longer than the current 'global warming' tsimmis. The real argument ought to be whether anthropological global warming exists and if it does, if it's a bad thing.

A neat trick the media plays - they photograph the (BOTTOM) of the where the glacier WAS but never show the (TOP) Where it starts growing.

They don’t know that glaciers grow from the top not from the bottom.

Meanwhile a generation of children have been indoctrinated to believe that the glaciers will all soon be gone.

Not only children, but adults with functioning brains as well.

It simply boggles my mind so many seemingly intelligent adults swallow this swill hook, line and sinker without a thought to the possibility it is all a scam to extract the money out of their wallets to some turd world hell holes .

Joe, thank you for posting that gorgeous pic. Mr. Inspectorette and I have traveled up and down the I-5 in Northern California more times than I can count. We never fail to be awed by the view of Mt. Shasta in any season, whether snow-covered or not. There are places on the I-5 where you feel as if you could reach out and touch the mountain.
