(CNSNews.com) – At least 858 U.S. soldiers have died in the Afghanistan war since President Barack Obama took office in January 2009. That equals 60.13 percent of the 1,427 American soldier fatalities so far in the ongoing 10-year war in that country.
For March 2011, there were 26 U.S. military deaths in Afghanistan, including 4 non-combat related fatalities. That brought the total combat and non-combat deaths for 2011 (January, February, and March) to 70. Those fatalities include 57 combat-related deaths and 13 non-combat deaths.
For the 858 U.S. deaths since Obama’s inauguration, 791 have been combat-related. This means that for the 1,241 combat-related deaths that occurred since the Afghanistan war began in October 2001, about 64 percent happened in the two years since Obama took office.

The MSM has been actively ignoring the war since Dear Leader came to power, proving that the war isn’t really an issue with the left. It’s the same as global warming-an means to an end but not really a substantive issue. The left wants nothing but to be in power, and it’s propaganda arm proves it.

You are correct . . . state-run media used to give monthly casualty reports on the “hourly” radio news reports. These casualty reports were given when G.W. was President. Guess now that their boy is in the Oval Office, casualty reports are not longer needed or necessary.

Remember the flap over Bush not allowing photographs to be taken at Dover AFB as the caskets were unloaded? Obama changed the policy, appeared at Dover for one choreographed photo op, and we haven’t seen a picture since.
I had my grandson, that grew up in my home, fighting in the Kunar Province when we switched CIC’s. As soon as our Traitor in Chief put in his new ROE, our month to month losses DOUBLED - and the media was silent. Bastar*ds all.

The new TIC (T=traitor) not only tied our troops hands with his ROE - and not allowing them to shoot until shot at and they could be pinned down, getting shot at and being killed and GET NO AIR POWER because there “MIGHT” be a civilian in the area. (Guess how quick the Taliban were to take advantage of that?)
Another thing the press is not reporting is the strategic territory - the very Valley OBL considered his home, (where my grandson and his Unit fought) - and where he trained the 9-11 jihardists - obama has turned over to the Taliban - lock, stock and ammunition - and rockets - and missiles - and thousands of gallons of gasoline - without a fight. Just pulled our troops - who had fought, bled and died in the most primitive and hostile place on earth - just pulled them and and GIFTED it to the enemy. Ever hear of such a thing in the annals of history? OBL now walks the valley again - and laughs.
WAtch and learn - this is the Kunar Province. the Korengal and the Pech Valleys provide the mountain passes fro the Taliban to run back and forth from Pakistan. Our boys made it tough for them. ‘bummer pulled them out and gave everything to the Taliban - including weapons and ammo that they used to kill more of our troops. And none dare call it treason?
