Poll: Florida GOP Gov. Scott's Net Approval Rating Plummets
TPM ^ | 4/6/11 | J Terbush

Posted on 04/06/2011 10:55:40 AM PDT by Recovering_Democrat

According to results of Quinnipiac poll released Wednesday morning, the percentage of Floridians who now approve of Gov. Rick Scott's (R) job performance has remained unchanged since two months ago. But at the same time, the percentage who disapprove of his job performance has more than doubled, putting his net approval rating deep underwater.

In the latest poll, a 48% plurality of registered voters now disapprove of how Scott has handled his job, a huge leap from February when only 22% of voters disapproved of the new Governor's job performance.

Here is more of the libtard media crap:

Scott is one of several freshmen GOP governors who have rapidly fallen from favor since assuming office. Polls have shown Scott, along with Wisconsin's Scott Walker, Michigan's Rick Snyder, and Ohio's John Kasich, all losing hypothetical do-over contests against the Democrats they topped in last year's elections. In Scott's case, a PPP poll showed him losing to Alex Sink by a resounding 20-point margin.

Gee. And the Hussein Cult Media can't EVER find anyone who has lost their job since their little tin god took office.

Who cares. Is there an election any time soon for him? Meaningless poll.

My sister’s family lives in FL and they hate Scott. Of course, they are dems but I love them anyway.

Here’s a deal for these states: Here in Illinois we failed to get rid of our asshat morong democrat governor at the time when they got Walker, Scott, Kasich and Snyder in those other states. How about we swap? We’ll take any of ‘em!

Let them just look at how great things are in IL and they’ll jump at this deal I’m sure. If you want to go back to the bad old ways of broke gov’t and corruption, we gotcha covered!

It's hard to say what's going through these people's minds: I like the sound of a balanced budget, but I don't want it to be done with any sacrifice or inconvenience on the part of myself, anyone I know, or could imagine.

I hear this on various radio stations driving to and from work in the Orlando area; how so many people hate Gov. Scott. However, everyone I talk to about it thinks he’s doing great things.

A poll of registered voters 3 1/2 years before the next election isn't worth the electrons it's printed on. Rasmussen hasn't even bothered to try polling this.

Hate Scott?? Hum, must be taking that poll in Dem Headquarters and at the NEA, when they are both not the same. Me, I think he is doing a fine job.

I wonder why we don’t get updates from the press about Obummer’s disapproval ratings. They seem to be going up quite a bit of late.

The GOP does a piss-poor job of telling their side of the story. Scott should be hammering what will happen to property taxes in FL (which are already high) in the absence of his measures. He needs to develop strong arguments to counter the pro-tenure teaching lobby. If I were him, I would have the State Auditor calculate what it costs each taxpayer to keep a tenured school teacher. If it turns out to be $5000, he should say: "OK, if you want to keep a specific teacher in your system, you send the State Treasurer a check for $5000 and we'll keep him on the payroll. Otherwise, he's gone." When liberals have to put their own cash where their mouth is, the vast majority disappear.

He should ask why public employees should not be held accountable for their performance when everyone else is. If he doesn't get his message out, he's toast and we'll see another liberal governor put back into office.

The media has been hitting him hard.

I don’t take the St Petersberg Rag, but I went to the store the other day and the front headline was basically:

The republicans are in power and now are going to give breaks to every evil corporation, roll back rights, stop women from having abortions and such.

It was such blatent bias its breathtaking. We will never get this country back until we kill the MSM.

Now I know why so many in Russia were diehard communists when they couldn’t even get toilet paper. There are people that won’t believe their own experience if the MSM is controlled by a party and tells them different.

Democrats/MSM are unbelievably predictable - it's truly amazing. When in power they devour everything in sight - they are ready at a moments notice to change the course of a country, shove unwanted health insurance - anything that suits their fancy. They are like sows feeding at a slop trough with our money. When not in power the democrats whine and nip at conservatives heels so much it becomes an annoying din and MSM picks up and continues the whining, complaining and nipping. If it wasn't so pathetic, and both weren't so dangerous to the country, they would be laughable. I'd get my news from a Sears Catalog before I would tune in MSM.

Yes, they do. The GOP at all levels, but especially the national, allow themselves to be the punching bag of libtards. If the GOP would stay on point and present a continuous, unwavering, relentless message, perhaps the message would begin to resonate with some of the sheeple. Instead, they allow themselves to be distracted and lured into petty quarrels that do nothing but distract from the broader message.

Rick Scott’s been all over the radio circuits this week saying, quite honestly, “I’m not in the Governor’s office to make popular decisions.”

I love this man, and I don’t give a rip what the cage-liner rags in this state have to say about him. He’s making tough decisions and doesn’t care if he’s not re-elected.

Florida will be better off in 4 years.
