The president didn't offer a solution for people who have to drive for work, have very long commutes where there is no mass transit options, people who live in rural communities, people with no down payments and bad credit or the working poor.

No need to say that many of us would like to trade in a President.

This guy is an elitist bastard.
He acts like the president of a third world country - which makes sense because that is his goal for America.

I sure hope that is on video somewhere. It ought to make an interesting inclusion in a 2012 commercial.

I think what he is trying to say is: “Let them ride scooters”.

Is this for real? For someone who pretends to care about the poor, he’s sure quick to throw them under the bus for renewable energy. Hopefully, they notice.

and you're only getting 8 miles a gallon, you know Interesting that he should throw out that number, since that's precisely the mileage his limousine gets.

Dick Morris (I know, I know) said this morning that high gas prices a year from now could be Obama’s downfall.

Ya, go out and buy a hybrid and then figure out how long it will take to pay it off with gas savings. Typical government thinking-save money by spending it.

Obama on gas Prices: I just don't feel your pain His union thugs kicking taxpayers in the knees while demanding their tax dollars as they fuel their vehicles with windmills and he campaigns for their votes (Obama's insane legacy in a nutshell).

WE don't have a city bus, train, subway, even a taxi service in our area. This is an area south of Houston with quite a few small towns here... Clute, Angleton, Freeport, Surfside, Quintana, Jones Creek, Brazoria, Danbury, Sweeny, etc. They have a new bus here but it isn't really a REAL city bus service. For example I would have to walk to our mall to board the bus that goes TO THE MALL! Not exactly an improvement for me. There is no Amtrak here and we can't have a subway here, it would flood, this is swamp area that was drained to build a town here. And a lot of people drive to Houston to work from this area, and they are not going to drive a Smart Car in this heavy traffic that you hit just south of Houston. It would not be SAFE. And there are so many men here who are in construction type jobs, and they NEED a pick up truck for hauling equipment and supplies. You can't put that stuff into a little Smart Car.
