Breaking: CBS News senior political correspondent Jeff Greenfield is leaving the network.
In an email to staff Monday night, Greenfield said he will be departing CBS at the end of April. It does not sound like the decision to leave was his own, if the email was any indication:
“While I did not initiate this decision, I think it was the right one,” he wrote.

CBS has gone through five years of not pulling a profit. They hired up a number of big names and paid out tens of millions. So the time has come to dump these folks and move to a cheaper group.
As for Jeff? Well...in the early 1980s....he actually had some common sense and I might have appreciated his wit. That disappeared over the past decade. He needs to take a year off....move to Iowa and just get used to real people again. And I would suggest you watch as another five or six CBS folks come to find a exit.

Sounds like .gov. We have spent trillions in the war on poverty, public education etc. and look how poverty has vanished and we are all educated to the point it is time to stop spending. Everyone can now care for themselves.

I used to watch Imus, and Greenfield was a regular guest. He’s now 67, so he could retire, like ordinary citizens do at that age.
Politicians and news people hate to give up the spotlight.

I think Toobin is still married to his wife. And he apparently is a real sicko whose proclivities would even shock Barney Frank.
I just checked Google about Greenfield’s daughter. An article said that Toobin offered to pay for an abortion, but she refused.
He didn’t want to pay child support either, but he was forced to. What a low-life. His wife stuck with him.
The baby is doing very well.
