Ground broken for Kennedy Senate Institute
Boston Globe ^

Posted on 04/08/2011 12:31:33 PM PDT by matt04

The words and spirit of Senator Edward M. Kennedy were evoked this morning at the groundbreaking ceremony for the educational institute that will bear the late Democrat’s name.

Under glorious skies, hundreds of former staffers, local and national political figures, as well as average citizens, flocked to the groundbreaking for the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate. It will be built, starting later this summer, on Columbia Point next to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.

...

The ceremony included a film about Kennedy’s nearly 47-year career, which ended in August 2009 when he died of brain cancer. President Obama was a surprise narrator for a portion of the film.

The nearly 90-minute event concluded with a ceremonial dirt-tossing exercise.

...

The most political of the day’s remarks came from Governor Deval Patrick, who said the institute and its educational component were badly needed amid the partisanship that had brought the country to the brink of a government shutdown.

He complained about the “poisonous” atmosphere created by “the so-called conservative movement” that was sapping the country of its optimism.

Gag.

Your tax dollars at work. It grieves me to know that I helped pay for this pagan temple.

The motto over the door should read:

“He was a traitor,” like a bell
Of silver Truth replied:
“Traitor to more than country’s call
Or patriot’s loyal pride—
“Traitor to freedom when he sought
To subjugate the free—
Traitor to love when, steeped in hate,
He crossed the distant sea—
“Traitor to conscience when he stilled
Its cry of pain within—
Nay, traitor to his country too
For helping her to sin.”

I'm sure the useful idiots of Russia had lots and lots of optimism too as the start of the bolshevik hopenchange revolution! So did the French peasants before their revolutionry messiah of hopenchange, Robespierre's, reign of terror descended on their country, as did the Iranian useful idiot college students and their professors who marched optimistically in the streets for their messiah of hopenchange, khomeini. All of this is the best indication of the utter exceptionalism of this land, that has been able to nip her own devil-messiah of hopenchange in the butt before it gets too late and knock some sense into her American useful idiots through the rise of the Tea Party patriots. Now these American Bolsheviks are crying us a river for the "so-called Conservatives" sapping their energy and optimism! Cry me a river, you despicable treasonous morons. We just saved the country from your disgusting ways! One day all Americans will be thankful for what we did!

Thats one thing about Ted Kennedy there is a lot that people can learn from his poor example as a human being.

You can learn how to grow up as a rich spoiled brat and then learn how to kill someone and get away with it.

All I can say is Good Riddance to him and thank god he won’t darken the steps of the United States Senate ever again.

The first 100 guests will receive complimentary copies of Teddy's blockbuster CD "Teddy's Tunes."

Hurry as supplies are limited and they'll go faster then Teddy's swim to the mainland from the scene of his crime.

Someone ought to erect a statue to Mary Jo on the Mall for keeping this reprobate out of the White House. She really DID give her life for her country.

The joke around Boston – whose residents kept sending this moron back to Washington (probably to keep THEIR daughters safe) -- used to be that Teddy was down to his last brain cell. Looks like even THAT one finally gave up the ghost.

For those who believe I should have more respect for the departed, I have as much respect and concern for this guy as he displayed for the young woman struggling for her last breath of air in the back seat of the submerged Oldsmobile this drunk Lothario drove off that bridge.

“Under glorious skies ... Governor Deval Patrick, who said the institute and its educational component were badly needed amid the partisanship that had brought the country to the brink of a government shutdown.”

‘Comrades!’ he cried in an eager youthful voice. ‘Attention, comrades! We have glorious news for you. We have won the battle with Republican reptiles and the poisonous” atmosphere they have created and advanced by the so-called `conservative movement’ that was sapping the country, vampire-like, of its optimism!
Returns now completed show that Big Bro’s approval ratings are 99.99%, that costs of foodstuffs have dropped by 40%, that the cost of gasoline has in fact dropped 30% and that the standard of living has risen by no less than 20% over the past year.
All over Amerika this morning, my dear comrades, there were irrepressible spontaneous demonstrations when workers marched out of factories and offices and paraded through the streets with banners voicing their gratitude to our beloved late Comrade Kennedy, Hero of the People, and glorious Big Bro,’ for the new, happy life which their wise leadership has bestowed upon us!

I have read and approved this message.
Barak `Big Bro’ Obama A/K/A, etc. (and so on)
I have read and allowed whatever-his-real-name-is to crib my notes for his narration.

Or cathouse. I just hope they remove his trashy rotting corpse from Arlington and dump it here. It no more belongs in Arlington than Bennedict Arnold’s.

I wonder if they have a ‘67 Oldsmobile to put on a pole out front, kinda like you see old, retired jet fighters outside air bases.
