You’re deluding yourself if you think it will go any better in the “bigger budget battle” than it did in the run-up to it.
Once the (R)s establish themselves as willing to compromise, that’s what will be demanded from here on out.
It will go better because for 2012 we get weeks and weeks of hearings which will expose the issues to the public. We didn't get that for 2011 because the Dems did not pass a budget; they feared holding hearings because they knew they would look bad against the Repub and an election was coming up.

I'm not a purist who believes that we will get every single item we want; that being said...I think we are going to get MAJOR cuts in the 2012 budget for reasons described above.
