California Teachers "Reaffirm" Support for Cop-Killer Mumia Abu-Jamal

I believe there is a difference between rank-and-file teachers and the leadership of radical teachers’ unions. The trouble is, the rank-and-file sits idly by as the radicals embarrass them, time and time again. Perhaps we’ve reached the point where the rank-and-file can rightfully be accused of being complicit of such behavior.

Why aren’t teachers angrily denouncing a recent resolution passed by the California Federation of Teachers in which the union "reaffirms support for death row journalist Mumia Abu-Jamal"?

The American Federation of Teachers, led by Randi Weingarten, has to date issued no statement in opposition to this offensive resolution.

And what does the AFL-CIO, the parent to the AFT think? More importantly, what do the police members of the AFL-CIO think? After all, Abu-Jamal was convicted of killing one of their own.

Or don’t they care?

At what point will the teachers’ unions be more concerned with the pitiful state of public education than they are about the fate of a convicted cop killer, or other unrelated issues like gay rights, national health care or American foreign policy?

Mumia Abu-Jamal, a hero of hardcore radical leftists – to some because he executed a police officer – does not deserve the honor and respect of teachers. It sends the wrong message to children. But the fact that the union would take the time to pass such a resolution shows the purpose of the union: to pass a radical agenda that has little if anything to do with education.

Good morning parents.

When you think about it, public education isn’t really about education is it? Isn’t about time you begin to think of homeschooling?

Sincerely,

I wouldn’t blame individual teachers for this at all. Rank and file members of unions really don’t have a voice in changing such policies, it just isn’t in the cards.

Unions really aren’t democratic type outfits, they are run from the top down.

Example given, here in Pittsburgh. About 10 years ago, an SEIU local had an election for officers. The long time president of the local, a Ms. Trump, was very popular with the SEIU brass in Washington and faced a challenge from a local government employee.

Trump lost, the maverick won in a stunning turnaround.

Within 6 weeks, the international put the local into receivership, disposed the new president and installed their own people. The fellow who was elected ended up worse off than he was, he had quit his government job to take the union presidency gig.

Abu-Jamal is alive precisely because liberal groups, like the California Teachers Union, keep funding his appeals!

It’s time to understand what is happening in this country. When God abandons someone we need to take notice and understand that we who are Christians need to stand up and proclaim the truth.

Today He has abandoned portions of our society. How long before He abandons the entire country?

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Who would put their children under the influence of people who God has abandoned?

This is a great example you can use for your “independent” or “marginally liberal” thinking friends!

Let’s reveal the face of liberals:

1) The Tea Party is full of racists, bigots, etc.

2) Gun owners are just criminals waiting to commit crimes.

3) Corporate executives are white-collar thieves.

But, convicted cop-killers are innocent.

The California Federation of Teachers are just another example of the classic term: USEFUL IDIOTS

If freed and left to implement his racist agenda, Mumia Abu-Jamal would personally slit the throats of every lily white member of the California Federation of Teachers as a thank you.

They are afraid of the thugs in their own union.

Blaming individual teachers is what is off base. By that logic, people cold blame all Republicans, or all Americans, or whomever.

Wife and I were originally from outside the Burgh, still religiously watch Pens & Steelers; but from along the Yukon nowadays.

Idiots. Several people saw him do it and he was found with the murder weapon and several spent casings right beside him. They love him because he’s a radical, not because he’s innocent.
