MILWAUKIE, Ore. -- A Milwaukie teen says a man, later found to be a sex offender, tried to grab her while she was walking home from school Thursday evening.
Luckily, her father quickly came to the rescue and tackled the suspect, Fox12 News reports.
Police cited Douglas Quinn and are charging him with harassment.
Picture of Sex Offender:
She was able to get away and use her cell phone to call her dad. Thats when the two started driving around the area looking for the suspect on their own. A few blocks away, they spotted him.

I do wish they would have kept the picture of the child/information about her private...
Mr. Quinn looks to be a large fellow. The dad must be a pretty tough customer.
Why in hell would they publish a picture of this young girl?
A gorgeous kid and a heroic dad.
They better hope the perp doesn’t sue for assault. The judges are even worse than the sex offenders. Vermin are everywhere.
I would think any father whose baby girl has been almost snatched away would have plenty of adrenalin stoking his muscles!!
yes that would have been better, not having her picture made public.
That’s so the man’s family can say “the little slut was asking for it”.
They only could charge him with harrasment???!!WTF.
In Texas, the perv would have been shot. In mexifornia, he would have been given a medal. Still...my hats off to her dad.
In England and much of Europe the dad would have been locked up and charged with a FELONY for ‘vigilantism’...simply because he did more than minimally necessary to get away from the immediate danger.
And I’m not kidding...It is SICK out there.
Roger that. Had the dad not been restrained we might be looking at pictures of the perp alongside his various body parts.
>They only could charge him with harrasment???!!WTF
This is Oregon, mind you. Remember, they were the only state 2 years ago to pass a bill to raise the taxes for anyone who makes more than $250,000.
If it had been one of my daughters, I would be up for assault with intent at minimum, will not speculate on the max....
There might have been a way to chop her out of the picture, but the article by FoxNews still had that???
I deleted her name from my excerpt of the article...
Perhaps... but no amount of adrenaline would be enough if dad was built like Don Knotts....
The source is Fox, and Fox is being taken over by woman-murdering jihadists.
Seconded. Attempted abduction with intent to commit first degree forcible rape on a minor child is more like it. WTF indeed.
‘harrassment,’ what’s he going to get, two weeks in jail???
Unfortunately the perp will quickly lawyer up and the next thing we will be hearing is that Dad will face felony assault charges from Holder and a civil suit compliments of the SPLC.
Dad should instead be given an award by the local PD.
The locals then took up the hunt but could not find the perp.
I sure miss Keith’s articles. When he passed on it was a sad day for shooters.
Dont have to be tough...just mad as hell...
I am glad the father got the guy, but the headline writer is an idiot. The father did not actually “save” the girl; she first got away from the perp herself.
In the 1920’s/30’s....the perp would be dead...far away in a forest....buried....where no one would miss him
Perhaps, they are waiting to violate his “sex offender “ status..they said, they are awaiting further charges. He may be worse off if he violates his mandates on his status as sex offender...Hopefully they throw this guy in prison..This young girl was a miracle. God only knows what could have happened to her.
Need to stay off until Sunday...
Good night, and may God bless you!
Sounds like it’s time for her to get “watermelon training”.
1) Take her to a knife shop to get “her” self defense knife. She needs to take her time and find one she is totally comfortable with, that feels good in her hand, and that she likes.
2) Lay out a tarp, and put a table on it with a full sized watermelon. Then tell her, “Using your knife, cut up that watermelon as fast as you can in one minute. Stab, slash, whatever you like.”
This is a fast way to get very comfortable with a particular knife and the idea of cutting up *something* with it. From that point on, it is her knife, and her self defense weapon. Reassure her that if it is lost or broken, she will get an identical replacement, no questions asked.
It’s good for the sex offender that he doesn’t live near me. In a society with activist judges sometimes we must become the activist.
Mr. T is not aging well.
