Donald Trump's 'birther' antics means he has 'zero chance' to be president: David Plouffe

The White House dissed Donald Trump Sunday as a "sideshow" with "zero chance" of becoming president, while defending a last-minute budget deal as a necessary compromise.

Chief advisor David Plouffe unleashed a barrage of stinging comments on Trump, who has recently trafficked in fringe conspiracy theories about Obama's place of birth while taunting America with hints of a presidential run.

"There is zero chance that Donald Trump would ever be hired by the American people," Plouffe told ABC's "This Week with Christiane Amanpour."

"I saw Donald Trump kind of rising in the polls and given his behavior and spectacle the last couple of weeks, I hope he keeps rising," Plouffe added.

"There may be a small part of the country that believes these things, but mainstream Americans think it's a sideshow," he said. "That's not leadership, that's kind of sideshow behavior."

Kind of hard to split the vote on the right since we have no candidate yet.

I could belive this if we had an incumbent in the WH.

Since The Donald has already admitted that his "people" have dug up plenty of shocking evidence on Obama, one must conclude that the birth certificate is only ONE angle...just a piece of the entire puzzle.

This doesn't just rattle Obama, it rattles his entire WH. Even those people closest to Obama most likely don't know the details of his life...and they are now talking among themselves at the water coolers and bars and behind closed doors.

This is a wonderful time to be alive.

Those theories make the most sense to me too -- the ones that speculate there's some detail on his birth certificate that he doesn't want people to see, like that his real name is "Steve" or something...something that would make him look silly and that would kind of deflate his exotic life story. Obama is so vain that I could imagine him going to the mat to keep something like that hidden.

Just look at his signature:

Totally contrived and self-conscious. Pure vanity. A guy with a signature like this is capable of anything (how in the world would he ever work "Steve" into that?).

Let’s all give Trump kudos for showing the fortitude and gonads to bring this out in the open. You see or hear anyone else in DC or elsewhere exhibiting more courage and love for his country?????

A few of the talk show hosts like Mark Levin, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck have shown us their courage. No one else. Not one of the Presidential hopefuls have shown the courage of Trump, IMO. Not one! They all try to play it safe without rattling anyone’s cage.

When the truth does surface, the names of those involved will be the scandal of all time, IMO.

Trump and Palin’s job in this election is to bring certain issues to the front and then act as lightning rod for the Left’s hate. If they can get the electorate talking about those issues so the real conservative candidate can take advantage of the discussion without getting the hate poured on them, then we have a chance.

Otherwise, we end up with some “establishment” GOP candidate (i.e. another RINO) who spends the election trying to convince voters that he/she respects Obama and thinks that he’ll do a great job in his second term.

Plouffe can go F himself..the fact that they are even bringing this up says that they are nervous as hell about the truth coming out. It’s one of two things, either Obama was born in Kenya or something else is in that birth certificate that he doesn’t want revealed..my theory is that Frank Marshall Davis is his real father..there is something in that birth certificate that he doesn’t want shown, not only his birth certificate, but how about his college records/transcripts, we never got to see any of that..so its not just the birth certificate its everything..if the media had done their job instead of kissing Obama’s damn ass all the time we could have found this all out already

I think that Trump giving lots of money to rats was along the lines of 'the cost of business' in dealing with their power of issuing permits and the like. Trump is about 'the deal' and making money and he sees that Obama is screwing with his business interests and his future.

Trump doesn't want to necessarily be the president, but he sure wants Obama GONE.

I doubt that many conservatives will support Trump. I am suggesting that those libs who can afford to affect our primaries will, and Trump will be advanced much as McCain was, by influence from my political enemies.
