Your thoughts are delusional and irrational. Democrats women are not going to vote for Palin because she is a woman. Been there, done that in 2008. The professed they weren’t voting for Obama, but voted for Obama.

Hillbuzz is but a tiny slice of the general voters.

Lowest Strong Approve, 19%, April 11, 2011

Lowest Total Approve, 41%, September 9, 2010

Highest Strong Disapprove, 47%, September 5 and 9, 2010

Highest Total Disapprove, 58%, June 18, 2010 and September 9 2010

Obama is 8 points off of his worst Strong Disapprove, but only 3 points off of his worst Total Disapprove and his worst Total Approve.

I think the drop in Strong Approve is Obama losing strength among liberals, and I think the shift from Strong Disapprove is moderates and independents getting Obama fatigue, and feelings the country's problems are bigger than the President, and the Presidency is too big for Obama. In other words, Obama has moved from disliked to merely pathetic and incompetent in some people's eyes.

I.L.,

Delusional and irrational? Come on!

In 2008, the candidates were Obama and McCain, not Obama and Palin. As history teaches us in US elections, McCain could have brought Elvis back to life and named him his VP nominee, and the result would have been the same. McCain was a HORRIBLE CANDIDATE.

I know from your past posts you are not a Palin fan (who are you a fan of?). But, other than Hillbuzz, I know of a left wing guy on the radio I catch on the Internet every once in a while (Steve Corbett) who echoes these same, pro Hillary feelings, along with some I know inside and outside the political world.

I have no empirical facts relating to how many Hill supporters would flip for Palin. All I have is a best guess based upon what I see.

I know from your posts that you refuse to face the facts. It is ideology, not gender. Liberal women may be angry at Obama, but that is in no way a plus for Palin. Liberal women are leftists.

These women are the ones that call her Caribou Barbie, if Hillary threw her hat in the ring, they would follow her, not Palin. Hillbuzz in no way has any affect on the general election. I bought that BS in 2008, I figured those Hillary voters were going to break big for Palin, they did not, I won’t believe that anymore.

Tell me, do you ever ask yourself why someone, a great Reagan conservative, would want to be on a ticket with a RINO democrat appeaser like McCain? Just asking.

Are you saying Gov. Palin should have turned down the VP request? That would have been crazy on a few different levels.

You're saying two things here.

First, you believe Palin is not a Conservative. On issues important to me, Abortion, National Defense, Energy Policies and Economy (for the most part), I find her among the most Conservative potential candidates there are.

Second, you are saying you believe Palin is an opportunist for accepting the VP nomination. What individual who feels they could better serve the country with a higher office isn't an opportunist?

Back to McCain...Regardless of who or what he is, a US Senator with as many years in the Senate as McCain is a very powerful guy. Don't believe me? How many office holders were actively supporting J.D. Hayworth last year? Also, as much as I respected President Reagan, he too supported John McCain in 1982 (House) and 1986 (Senate).

Regarding the Gender vote, I don't believe all female Hillary supporters were “Liberal”, and sorry if this offends, but I do believe some female Hill supporters would vote for another woman, even if it wasn't their party preference. Like I said previously, 2008 really isn't a good example. McCain was a horrible candidate.

Whether Palin runs or not, she has been very good for the Tea Party and at times, the only one with a backbone to challenge Obama on issues.

That probably best defines why I hope Gov. Palin runs. Unlike Pawlenty, Romney, Huckabee and somewhat Bachmann (her dodge of Trump and the Birth Certificate issue), Palin isn't afraid of the media and isn't afraid of Obama.

I think Palin should run if she wishes too. I think she should strut her stuff beside the other candidates. If she wins, she will get my vote in the general. I do think she needs to be looked at realistically and not from an emotional view. That view by some hasn’t really helped her very much. That in itself may play into the reason why.

I just hope people realize that words mean nothing, actions do.

Turning down a VP request was up to her. I can’t comment on her reasons for accepting or denying. Her daughter’s pregnancy may have been one reason I would have said “no”. But that is just me.

42-45% sounds about right, considering 0bama’s overall positives rarely ever inch lower than those numbers. It seems to closely mesh with the 46-47% who pay no income taxes.

This is why we will eventually disband the present union... it is unworkable because too many of us will refuse to live under despots and slavery... not this Southern boy. Unless the left is completely destroyed and disgraced... what other outcome ensures Liberty and Freedom continue?
