Real estate mogul Donald Trump is tied for first in the race for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, according to a new poll of Republicans.

Nineteen percent of Republicans named Trump, who is flirting with a run for the party's presidential nomination, as their top choice for the nomination, according to a CNN/Opinion Research poll released Tuesday. Another 13 percent said Trump was their second choice in a nominee.

Trump scored 10 percent in last month's CNN poll, meaning he effectively doubled his support over the course of a month.

Trump is not the problem....the problem is that the GOP and GOP Media has moved left.

When I hear someone like Sean Hannity defend Islamic Terrorists...as he did last week over a Christian pastor (the Terry Jones Koran burning)....I know the GOP and GOP Media is no longer conservative

Trump hit a nerve with the Obama Birth Certificate and Eligibility issue...and if the GOP and GOP Media does not go after Obama on this, they will be slaughtered in 2012.

Time for the GOP and GOP Media to get conservative....or the real conservatives will be gone.

Stop whining about Trump....run a real conservative. Trump is gaining because all the potential GOP candidates (except Bachmann) are RINOs and Liberals

First off, it should be clarified that Hannity was not defending the Islamic Terrorists when he condemned the Terry Jones Koran burning. He took this position out of concern for our troops overseas whose lives could be placed further at risk as a result of frenzied and re-energized Muslim jihadists looking to enact any measure of revenge over the Koran burning.

Second, I’m really hoping Trump is launching all this firepower against Obama NOT because he plans to run for president himself, but because he’s a genuinely concerned American who wants to see this Marxist president ousted and our republic saved. In other words, I’m hoping he’s setting in motion the blueprint for victory to ANY Republican who is bold and willing to take over the reins, which is to CONTINUE A RELENTLESS FULL-SCALE ASSAULT ON OBAMA’S BACKGROUND AND TRACK RECORD UNTIL HE IS DEFEATED!

If she’s really going to do so, Sarah Palin should, officially, announce her run for ‘12 POTUS, and then, put an end to all of this “overreaching optimism for Donald Trump” nonsense!

Yeah. Just like Ike should have telegraphed Hitler, and told him, "Hey dude, we're hitting the beach at Normandy, at dawn on June 6. See ya soon."

Those charts are bullshiite...

Julie-Annie is an anti-second amendment gun control jerk off and a homofascist lover...

Trump has them scrubbing the skid marks out of their panties...

He’s heterosexual, likes his money and loves his country... which is more than anyone can say for the “blame America first” idiots and RINO apologists...

The media might actually have to discuss facts in the election and that scares them...

Trump is all that, plus supports assault weapons bans, supports progressive income taxes, supports (and uses to his own benefit) eminent domain seizures, supports socialized medicine, calls for amnesty, is financially tied to George Soros to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars... and so on. He is almost identical to Bill Clintoon in his policies.

Only suckers are fooled by his sudden conversion right in the past few weeks. Way too many people are swooning over him like he was Justin Bieber.

He should define RINO except he hasn’t been an R until just a couple of weeks ago.

I’d be more inclined to think you are tied to George Soros pushing Julie-Annie as anything resembling conservative by that stupid little chart...

I’m not pushing Fruity as Conservative, the point is how liberal Trump is in comparison to someone we all admit is a RINO.

But I understand, a lot of people are smitten because the Trump Bieber winked at ya. Folks are blinded by how liberal he has been through his entire life simply because he is the golden boy of the moment.

I just hope he doesn’t decide your private property would be a good addition to a parking lot for one of his casinos. Trump loves to use the government to snap up private property for his own use. But I’m sure all you RINO apologists are fine with that as long as Trump Bieber keeps winking at you.

"Poll: Trump tied for first in race for GOP nod (CNN/Opinion Research poll)"

Only a couple of days ago, he was tied for second. ...like a steamroller running over a bandwagon, baby. ;-)

I’d prefer Donald Rumsfeld as president.

Those stupid charts are a bunch of left wing jibberish, so the comparison is invalid.

“...although it’s also possible that we continue to be fragmented and no one secures the requisite delegates before the convention starts.”

And then Jeb Bush gets “drafted”.

Ah, no. No more Bushes. I’ll take Trump over another Bush.
