What I don’t think they care to realize is that there is a hard stop to all of this and we can’t exactly predict when that will be. When the debt to GDP ratio gets above 90% and before it reaches 125%, the bond holders that can bail, will bail. When that happens all our Federal Reserve Notes (or dollars as some call them) become worthless.
Even Paul Ryan can’t get it right. His Path to Prosperity published this month says the deficit this year will be $1.355 trillion. Even with these “cuts”, most expect it to be +$1.600 trillion. His plan is obviously incorrect.
And, for the ones who aren't, they think that their revolution will be a short, but relatively painless revolution. I don't; I expect a CW2 that will not be painless nor peaceful. At this point in history, thanks to “diversity” preached by the Left, the U.S. has become fragmented into enclaves of competing tribes. Unleash the dogs of war and it isn't going to be pretty.
What the loony Left has not figured out is they are the misfits and it is they who are out of step with what the majority of Americans want. Most Americans want to be left the hell alone by the nanny state the Left wants to impose (and worse). This further encroachment of government at every level is breeding a backlash. We saw a peaceful backlash in November 2010. Nevertheless, the Left feels they're the closest they've ever been to their utopian nirvana. They won't stop any more than a heroin addict will give up their “fix.”
Meanwhile the political hacks in Washington continue to play the “great game” inside the Beltway — as the hurricane that will sweep them away builds and builds.
the guy at the meeting last night said the debt ceiling WILL be raised, no doubt about it and everyone already knows it.
In many ways I agree with you. When I firmly put on my tin foil hat, I have to wonder if the republican plan is to delay the break up until after Obama is out of office.
Ryan’s plan is not a plan to benefit this country. It is the bare minimum required to say they tried.
I’ll dare.
Ryan is a clown. His budget makes rosy assumptions and doesn’t balance the budget until sometime after 2030. How good is his plan? Published less than a month ago, it said this year’s budget would be $1.355trillion.
Some plan.
If he knows the numbers as well as he wants to appear, he must know it’s BS. He is either lying to himself and us or just us.
