GOP deceived us about $38 billion???

Posted on 04/12/2011 6:50:13 PM PDT by MNDude

I was just listening to Mark Levin and he was saying the GOP cut only about $10 billion from the budget because most of it had already been cut or wasn't going to be spent anyhow! Has anyone else heard this? I don't find this anywhere.

I've heard it might have been a $2B cut. No matter the figure, it was window dressing. The GOP is playing a game and is not serious about cutting spending.

I won't say anything against Paul Ryan as a person, but I will say that the 2012 budget that gets passed will be a joke and will be very, very similar to this 2011 budget. Count on it.

Levin was on Cavuto on SATURDAY saying that he was getting word the amount was inflated. It was. Even Fox Business News covered it today.

Sorry...

On Bret Bair’s “Special Report” on Fox this evening they reported the real number as $14 billion. Either way, Republicans were misleading us. Now the real numbers come out right before the vote, forcing the TEA Party members to vote “No.”
If that shuts down the government, Obama can say that the GOP didn’t keep their end of the “compromise,” and it’s 1995 all over again with the msm blaming Republicans.

How could Boehner fall into this trap? Did he really think the Democrats were not going to release these numbers to the press? He should resign as Speaker tomorrow.

Why wait until 2012?

I’ve already called my rep and told him to start a recall on Boner’s election as Speaker.

The Republicans have no spine. They are listening the so called architect Rove...he’s a careful and useful idiot...Mr. Play It Safe and ride the coat tails of the public outrage and then be just as bad as the democrats with spending...I’m embarrassed to know my country is run by cowards who care only for whatever is in it for them...gas prices? now food prices? it’s all enslavement and what’s the Republican solution...play it safe until next election...why so they can continue to spend what they don’t have...? They are spending us into slavery and think they are wizards...

What do you expect from Bonehead and Cantor.

You see, Bonehead and Cantor have already figured out how to work around the 80 new Tea-party congress men and women.

And that is work a deal that will satisfy the GOP moderates and the Democrat moderates, thus getting the necessary votes to by-pass the new conservative members.

Looks like a lot more house cleaning needs to be done in 2012, starting with Bonehead and Cantor. No wonder Pence bailed out of leadership. He wanted no part of the charade he saw coming.

Why wait is right. I called Bonehead's office today and told him to stop begging me for donations. That the so-called budget deal was a joke...$2B at most. And, that my donations go directly to candidates/TeaParty. And that he should resign as he's as bad as Nancy, only he cries more.

I'm embarrassed and I hope the TP frosh stand for the USA and not this crap sandwich.

rove was hyping the cut as something greater than $60b if we included the previous CR cuts. Apparently, the previous CR were included in the $38.5b “cut”
