While I am very unhappy with the way Boehner acted on the just passed CR..given the number of votes he lost in his own caucus..he has painted himself into a corner...he said that a debt ceilign won’t pass without “something really, really big” about spending cuts attached to it...we’ll find out soon just how big, “big” actually is...

If not, most republicans did and most dems voted against it. The hypocracy of these politicians is sickening.
I hope they shut it down. Let’s see what will happen. If everything starts to crumble have a vote and raise it.
All it means is you cannot borrow more money...you sill pay on your credit card...you would then have to stop spending money you do not have..

Most of us realize that this must eventually happen, along with the spike in unemployment, misery, etc that comes with it, to clear the way for future prosperity.
But Republicans in DC know that if they do this, they will be blamed, demonized by the media, and likely not reelected.
In the end, for almost any career politician, it’s about there OWN enlightened self-interest, not yours.
The only way to change that is term limits, and that’s just not going to happen in my lifetime.
We’re going to crash.
And no one other than a handful of Tea Partiers seems to care. :(

Oh well. The RINORATS will be eliminated in the next election. We may as well take a vacation til next summer and practice our survival skills. They just passed the CR with a lot of Rat Aid. Boner had to get 50 Rats to help him out.

and then find some way to blame the democrats like “the democrats would not agree to cut spending in return for a temporary raise in the debt ceiling”; or “the democrats refuse to repeal last year’s health legislation in return for etc.”.
Turn the tables back on them just as they do to conservatives all the time.
I read another article yesterday that Rand Paul is threatening to filibuster Boehner’s deal today if it reaches the senate floor. I’d like to see conservatives like Demint and Paul do more than just threaten. Get ‘er done, guys. Just do it.
