Open Question: Will we ever wrest control from the establishment Boehner/Rove/Romney RINO wing?

Posted on 04/14/2011 2:57:00 PM PDT by teg_76

Only 59 of the 240+ House Republicans voted against this deal. It seems we have a long way to go.

Boehner, whose staff will hang up on you if you call and ask him to take a stand against Obamacare, did get almost 80 democrats to vote for it though. What does that tell you?

They can’t be controlled. They must be expunged.

No.

Your math is correct. There are many more RINOs than conservatives, meaning that the true RINOs are actually conservatives!

It is sort of like the question about reigning in the Federal Government and it’s borrow and spend ways...not until the whole thing comes crashing down in destruction and chaos will you be able to rebuild. Until it becomes entirely untenable and collapses, inertia will rule and continuing efforts, more and more futile as time passes, to prop up the house of cards will still hold the upper hand. People will not change their ways until there is absolutely no other choice.

Rush put it right today when he said the freshman Tea Party Congress is being “managed” by those who think they are in power.

I really, really tired of being considered “stupid” by the likes of John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and the rest of the GOP Insider Politicians.

We are all so worried about Trump going “3rd Party” - we already GOT third party it's just no one is recognizing it.

A supermajority of Republicans are what we call RINOs, which means the name is meaningless. If you are in the majority, you aren’t a RINO, the minority conservatives are the RINOs. A better moniker for most Republicans would be CINO.

People must figure out that most Republicans aren’t conservatives. That’s why I left the Republicans, I didn’t want to be a member of a moderate party. I still vote Republican since they are marginally the better choice. I only contribute directly to my preferred candidates.

Expecting Republicans to be conservative is falling for the MSM meme. Most Republicans are moderates. That’s because they reflect their moderate constituents.

The number of right-wing conservatives in America is vastly overestimated, imo.

Withhold donations. Give directly to tour candidate of choice.

I do agree. But I also think it MIGHT be possible to convince enough Republicans to become conservatives.

More importantly, I believe conservatives should be trying to establish geographic control over some political units like cities, counties, congressional districts and maybe a state or two. Trouble is, real control involves simply ignoring the court system, which is the real enemy.

Well, let see...we’ve tried the soap box and that didn’t work. And we used the ballot box and that was an exercise in futility. So.....

We can pass the budget, not pass it, lower the debt ceiling and do all kinds of things trying to get out of debt, but if we allow the Muslims to take over, all these exercises will be just like pissing in a head wind.

I am feeling pretty pessimistic about the chance of this happening without another Reagan or Goldwater appearing out of nowhere. Until then the Tea Partiers and other like-minded individuals are being played like a bunch of rubes. And the sad part is that we don’t have 10 years to waste on figuring out how to salvage any thing that resembles republican prinicples to the Republican Party. If we can’t get it done by next election cycle, it won’t matter.

That’s why if the slate of candidates for 2012 looks like garbage to me, then I am bailing to go take care of what I need to take care of on a personal basis before the doodoo from all the statism and debt really hits the fan. And we thought the Great Recession of 2008 was horrific, we haven’t seen anything yet.

this just proves that we need to direct our fire to getting conservative leaders not foot soldiers. A conservative Speaker would have given a different bill to vote on. A conservative POTUS like Palin will produce different policies than say Mitt and the congress will go along with whichever POTUS is at the top. Congress is not a leader they are a check on an over reaching POTUS/Court. they do not and never have led.

Stop wasting your money on fighting rino footsoldeirs and unite to elect a conservative in the leadership positions. Primary the speaker, and McConell. Get Palin or some other conservative elected as POTUS and the foot soldiers will fall in line.

Yes,, and here’s why. I have only given a few donations to candidates, all were small. I have never been on a call for donations list. I’ve never received solicitation calls. Also, i’m a guy that only uses a cell, and hasn’t had a landline in years.
In the last 2 months i have been called 3 times by the repub national committee, or by their chosen few.

1) If they are calling me, they are hurting.

2) Everytime, I tell them im sick of them, and will happily donate to Sarah, the woman they are busy trying to undermine. I remind them that they supported Murkowski. Each time, they sounded like they were told that about 80 times per hour.

Beat the ba$tards down,, they are a recalcitrant dog that WILL be brought to heel. Turn away for a second Cesar Milan, we are getting this dog’s attention first.
