Oddly enough, all this speculation could be solved if the president released the documents that all other presidents have been expected to release prior to this one. The media loved to talk about how Pres Bush was a "C" student. At least he released his transcripts -- was this president a "C" student? or an "A" student? Who knows?

I know Birthers love the idea of having the original long-form birth certificate out there, but I think there is more to be found in the school records, health records, passport history, and Master's thesis. These are things that so many others have produced, but this fellow gets a pass.

Why not just ask for full disclosure of all the basics? Personally, I think there is probably a gold mine out there.

I think George W. Bush characterized himself as a C student. Apparently someone at Yale leaked his transcript to The New Yorker for a hit piece in 1999 (when it was obvious he was going to run in 2000). He had a lot of B's on the transcript and was heavily involved in extracurricular activities of various kinds. That was before the era of grade inflation.

There is a reason why Obama is refusing to release any of the documents that presidential candidates normally release nowadays--there must be embarrassing information in them. But I don't think it means he was born in Kenya.

He isn't a "natural born citizen" but that's because his father wasn't an American citizen, not because of his place of birth.
