The Donald thinks the GOP is stupid

Here is the hot, new theory as to why Donald Trump has been acting like such an ass lately:

Trump has no real roots in the Republican Party. He has been both a registered Republican and a registered Democrat. He has made campaign contributions to Republicans such as John McCain and George W. Bush and to Democrats such as Hillary Clinton and Rahm Emanuel.

“I go for the person, not necessarily the party,” he has said. “I mean, I vote for Republicans and I vote for Democrats.”

While not an unreasonable statement, it is not what Republicans usually look for in a GOP presidential nominee.

And while Trump’s personal life is not outrageous by today’s standards, he has been married three times and said in 2006, when he was 59, that his daughter, then 24, “does have a very nice figure. I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.” It probably does not meet the definition of traditional Republican family values, even if those values are sometimes breached more than observed.

So Trump, entertaining notions of running for the Republican nomination, desperately needed an entrée to what he perceives as the heart and soul of the party. And that entrée, Trump decided, was the scurrilous and discredited “birther” attack against President Barack Obama.

He thinks for himself because he has had to think for himself. He thinks of survival in the world of business, which is a whole different and more practical and more moral discipline than survival in the world of politics.

His main asset and appeal is that he is not a politician, by history or by mentality.

I knew there was something to like about this guy!

Can you explain what is conservative about Trump, other than that he's bashing Obama at the moment?

So in other words, you can’t make a conservative case for the Donald. But hey, he’s carrying water for the birther movement! So he’s A-OK!

Why does Trump appeal to many people? He is out there speaking and looking for answers about 0bama's hidden past. Something those republicans feeding at the taxpayer's trough have not done.

Trump attacks at the national level.

Tea Party people are making changes at the local level. This worries both parties.

The old saying: All politics are local.

Little Georgie Stuffitupallofus tried his best to say this AMthat NObama’s COLB was the same as a birth certificate and Donald wasn’t having it.

He told Little Georgie that “he had been co-opted by Obama”.

Over & over again Georgie tried to provoke Donald into a response about what Donald’s investigators have already found & Trump finally said “Next Question, George”.

It is going to be an interesting 20 months ahead.

Someone in Trump’scamp needs to remind him that the ‘citizenship status” of Obama’s father is the bigger key to his not being eligible. Daddy was not an American citizen when he ws born, therefore, Obama cannot ever be considered ‘Natural born American” for any purpose—regardless of his place of bith-—which I believe is Kenya.

I have found out - Trump is a stinkin NE RINO by any sane definition of such.

Ah, so you have to have the secret decoder ring to see how Trump is really a conservative.

Do you realize just how ridiculous that sounds?

I have come to the conclusion that these sudden Trump supporters have no idea how ridiculous they sound. When the Donald finally dumps on them it’s not going to be pretty around here.

You will probably be proven correct. I like Trump, but do not trust him. That said, he is more appealing to me than a half dozen of the GOP suits-on-a-rack that are mentioned all the time now. That really is the key to this small surge of Trump’s. He is publicly attacking Obama, and he is not one of the drab Party retreads. It is that simple, and unfortunately it is that thin.

Trump on the border for me. But he is right about most of the GOP. We have some of the most ignorant jack asses in Washington. This piece meal of correcting the debt problem is our downfall and America will fail unless we sanitize the entire party..
