When Rolling Stone ran its story, "The Runaway General, last year on Afghanistan top commander Gen. Stanley McChrystal, President Obama said that the story showed conduct that "undermines the civilian control of the military that is at the core. And it erodes the trust that's necessary for our team to work together to achieve our objectives in Afghanistan."
Remember the calls for McChrystal's head in the wake of the story? After years of encouraging the military to deride George W. Bush, Democrats saw any military criticism of the White House as lese majeste. House Appropriations Chairman David Obey, D-Wis., summed up the calls for McChrystal's resignation, when he said, "If he actually said half of what is being reported, he shouldn't be in the position he is in."

Well, I see that The Rolling Stone is still a cheap, amoral, self-indulgent, unpatriotic piece of crap.
Gee, what a surprise!
“Call this case of Washington justice: first the resignation, then the probe.”
Yes, another version of “Shoot first and ask questions later.” That publication is not fit to line a litter box.
Call this case of Washington justice: first the resignation, then the probe.
And how is that any different than the priorities of the LameStreamMedia, including both the Rolling Stone and the SFChron, where the importance of any information is the severity of the charge and not the truth of it.?
The above quote coming from anyone in the media represents a case of the pot calling the kettle black - Washington pols = media, media = Washinton pols, ad infinitum.

McChrystal for Sarah Palin’s VP!
He is a registered Democrat.
Where does McChrystal go to get his reputation back?
He went to the Democrat Party for a Presidential Candidate and to Rolling Stone for media interface, so I guess he should "dance with the ones that brung him..."
Zero’s vertical salute looks like a thoroughbred’s blinders. Is he trying not to have to see the marine?
(welcome to the club)
I still can’t believe the man was so delusional as to give a reporter from the frickin’ ROLLING STONE unfettered access.
It must have been his ego. He really thought they loved him.
Maybe after what Obama did he will change parties—I am sure he might serve as Hillary’s VP.
