So much for support from the common man. The Indiana Democratic Party’s first quarter campaign finance report was filed last Friday and confirms what everyone already suspected but Democrats denied: their “We Are Indiana” walkout was bought and paid for national unions. Read the report here: Dem Finance Report

During the period of the walkout that began on February 22 and ended on March 28, Democrat-backed unions contributed nearly $140,000 to the Indiana Democratic Party. Their goal: stop the legislative session in its tracks, kill anti-union bills, and pay whatever it took to keep Democrats holed up in an Illinois hotel.

This paid vacation smacks of bribery.

And remember, RINO darling Mitch Daniels said fleebagging was a “legitimate legislative tactic.”

The silver lining is the fact that they blew a bunch of money with little gain.

And, FREEPER Muawiyah pointed you to the time in history where the United States of America was SAVED from a Copperhead Revolution through the simple expedient of moving the Republican members of the Legislature to Madison ~ away from the high probability of being murdered by the Democrats.

You appear to have failed to review Indiana history sufficiently, so here's your last chance to show you can read and that you're not a Nancy Pelosi Democrat with a severe reading impairment.

NO REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR in Indiana can ever say fleeing the legislature is always sinful.

So, lay off it Confederate sympathizer!

So you agree with what the Dems in Indiana did? Do you agree with Mitch stabbing his new Republican legislative majority in the back and opposing them on Right to Work legislation? Looks like we have another freeper Rino heard from. And ignored.

That's the big thing. In 2011, every dollar we force the unions to spend now, is a dollar that will not be available for the 2012 fights.

The objective in every Republican-controlled state must be to pass Right to Work, and to gut public employee unions whichever way they can.

Pat Bauer is a stinking pile of excrement who, when the former speaker, blocked all legislation not wanted by the national socialist dem party.

Why did Mitch oppose right to work legislation? I was out there somewhere in neverland when that came out and totally missed it.

"Why did Mitch oppose right to work legislation?"

He said it "wasn't the right time". This despite the fact that Indiana just elected Republican majorities in both branches of the legislature. If now isn't the right time it's never gonna be the right time. Bottom line - Mitch didn't want to cross the unions and perhaps damage his presidential chances. He's your classic RINO politician in the McCain mold.

We’re picking away at that union money. Yesterday the house here in Michigan voted to stop making taxpayers pay for union contract negotiations.

Hardly matters though, so long as the rank-and-file does not seem to care how much money their leadership is throwing down ratholes. (I have a UAW member in the extended family who ACTUALLY BELIEVES their line about spending "less than 1%" on political activites) Ya can't cure stupid.
