A few weeks ago when it was reported that McDonalds was going to hire 50M people and put them on the midnight shift I predicted that crime would be commonplace at McD's. Well, even I couldn't predict that the fights and violence would break out before the employees were actually hired. Thast what happened yesterday in Cleveland.

I'm not one for boycotts but I will recommend that those who want to dine at McD's after this had better make sure they have plenty of security forces with them.

Pretty sure East 105th and St. Clair has more “Sneakers over the telephone wires” than “Golden Arches”. Pity. The people in that area really do need a chance for honest work.

My daughter had a friend in high school who was from a disadvantaged background. She tried to help the girl by setting up a job interview for her through another friend who worked at McDonalds. The girl then turned around and quit after about a week.

It was a tough but powerful lesson for my daughter.
You just can’t help some people.
