Pretty sure East 105th and St. Clair has more “Sneakers over the telephone wires” than “Golden Arches”. Pity. The people in that area really do need a chance for honest work.
My daughter had a friend in high school who was from a disadvantaged background. She tried to help the girl by setting up a job interview for her through another friend who worked at McDonalds. The girl then turned around and quit after about a week.
It was a tough but powerful lesson for my daughter.
