E.W. Jackson's Campaign Kick-Off!

Dear Friend,

Americans are calling for a new era of leadership, and two weeks ago I announced my intention to answer that call by stepping forward to serve Virginia as its next United States Senator. The history of my family in Virginia dates back to around 1778, the period of the Revolutionary War. Only in American can an heir of former slaves become a candidate for the United States Senate. All of our ancestors suffered to give us this freedom we enjoy, and now that freedom is threatened by oppressive debt, confiscatory taxation and job killing regulations.

On May 2nd I will be launching my campaign to fight for the principles of freedom, personal responsibility and constitutionally-limited government. President Obama promised to fundamentally transform America, but our country does not need fundamental transformation. We need to restore the fundamentals. Obama, Pelosi and Reid have given us division - black against white against Hispanic, rich against the middle class and poor. Virginians have not asked for division but a vision of "one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all." This administration has given us high gas prices, high food prices, high unemployment and the highest debt in our history. Our foreign policy has become one of vacillation, weakness and appeasement. Elect me to the United States Senate and I will fight to reverse these destructive polices.

Bring your families, friends, and neighbors to the Springhill Suites Hotel, 1446 Crossways Boulevard in Chesapeake at 7:00 PM on May 2nd. Our country is in an emergency, but together we will establish a new era of leadership in America!

Huh. Retired Marine, lawyer, pastor and Bishop all wrapped up in one package. I wonder if he could attract the mainly black voters in Chesapeake away from the dems?
