I had the chance to watch Glenn Beck's show today and I have to say and I am sure some on the left, under their breath are saying; Glenn Beck, you magnificent b@#*ard... For those who may have missed Beck's show, some of his show can be seen here.Today's show should be used as a boilerplate for the GOP to develop a conservative grassroots movement among conservative blacks who have the desire to enter politics. This isn't the only time Beck has nailed it on the problems that plague the GOP. When Beck had David Horowitz on his show, the...

Glen Beck interviews Black Conservatives.

A brilliant idea, although I hope the participants know that they’re now fair game for “progressive” blackface photoshops mocking them as traitors to their race. The Clinton coalition is fracturing, thanks to The One’s statism on steroids; every white suburbanite vote that’s lost will have to be made up with a minority vote, which means the volume on the demagoguery will have to be turned up that much higher. You’re a brave man, Charles Payne.

I put together a short video for Janeane Garofalo and all of those in the media who seem to think that disagreeing with Obama makes you a racist. These are just a few of the black American patriots who chose to stand up and exercise their First Amendment rights at tea parties and other various rallies and protests throughout the nation. Are these people racists? Believe it or not, there is a growing movement in this country among blacks who are starting to see that liberal democrats don't represent the values most of them share and do not have their...

As much as I hate to take issue with my colleagues here, it is hyperbolic to call Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. a “conservative.” It is true King was no New Left radical. He had little use for Malcolm X and in his “Letter from the Birmingham Jail” he famously denounced “the hatred and despair of the black nationalist.” But King’s views before his antiwar speech were left-of-center, for his day or ours. King believed in a guaranteed annual income, opposed Vietnam well before 1967, and, “content of their character” notwithstanding, voiced support for some form of racial preferences....

Comedienne-activist and “Matchmaker” star Janeane Garofalo pounded Tea Party activists during Bill Maher’s “Real Time” a couple of days ago, equating this summer’s “Tea Party” protests with a darker chapter in US history: the white power movement. Ms. Garofalo said: “Tea-baggers, the 9/12ers, these separatist groups that pretend that it’s about policy are clearly white identity movements. They are clearly white power movements.” That broad brushstroke proved to be offensive to at least one black man in America: David Webb. Mr. Webb is a New York City talk show host (”The Grinder” on AM 970), a Republican, and founder of...

The Olympics will not be held in Chicago. So has Obama failed Chicago? Not really: hosting the Olympics is a decidedly mixed blessing and this will be forgotten soon. Obama, however, has failed black America, and that failure may linger for a long time. The election of a black president, all other things being equal, is a good sign in American politics. All things, though, were not equal in the case of Barack Obama. He was not and is not wedded to the grand principles of American greatness. The blessings of citizenship are squandered on Barack Obama, just as the...

Freepers, I write to ask your help on behalf of a good man, a courageous man, who is torn by a community that may finally be awakening to Democrat perfidy. He - and I suspect there are many like him - needs to know that he is not alone; that others walk the same road; that there is a wealth of information and support to guide him through the challenges he faces. Harold is a black man who has risen from the depths of poverty and drug addiction and its associated pathologies. Today he is happily married with a couple...

traveled on the Tea Party Express tour bus as a singer/songwriter, entertainer and spokesperson; 16 states, 34 rallies in two weeks. I experienced vicious racial verbal attacks, not from the tea party protesters. The racial hate expressed against me all came from the left, people who support President Obama's radial socialist agenda. Unfortunately, my deleted email box is littered with numerous messages expressing the following: "You are the dumbest self hating f****** n***** I have ever seen!" These racists are outraged by my opening lines I boldly proclaimed at each rally. "Hello my fellow patriots! I am NOT an African-American!...

Vitiligo is a skin disorder that gained notoriety for being the cause of Micheal Jackson’s loss of skin color. I think I have discovered a condition that a lot of Black Republicans/Conservatives seem to have, Mental Vitiligo(M.V.).

John H. McWhorterThus Spake Zora Zora Neale Hurston’s writing challenged black people as well as white. Summer 2009 One of the last photos of Zora Neale Hurston, taken in the late fifties, is heartrending. Once renowned as a handsome figure who could dominate any room, she sits outside a Florida bungalow, a bloated old woman living in poverty, chatting with locals. As sanguine as she looks, we can’t help wishing that she had been in New York, plugging her latest novel on The Jack Paar Show. But all her books were out of print, and she was supporting herself...

This short essay made me mindful of something--black protestors in the tea party protest may need some extra help and protection, since they are clearly targets for SEIU et al. The St. Louis thug-mugging was racial in nature.

Here is raw video of a Conservative African-American who said he was attacked at a St. Louis Town Hall Event. Several people were reportedly arrested: "Two of those were arrested on suspicion of assault, one of resisting arrest and three on suspicion of committing peace disturbances. Carnahan was gone when the ruckus started. Kenneth Gladney, a 38-year-old conservative activist from St. Louis, said he was attacked by some of those arrested as he handed out yellow flags with "Don't tread on me" printed on them. He spoke to the Post-Dispatch from the emergency room of the St. John's Mercy Medical...

Guest-hosting for Keith Olbermann last night on MSNBC’s Countdown program, newsman Richard Wolf reported, cheerily, that the interaction between Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates and Cambridge Sergeant Jim Crowley at yesterday’s co-called White House “beer summit” was “friendly and warm” — “unlike the beer,” he added for good measure, before proceeding to tell us which brand of beer each participant preferred. “Warm,” however, is not an adjective that could be used to describe the angry racial rhetoric that Gates has employed repeatedly during his years in academia. In a video clip that has gained much traction on You Tube recently,

WASHINGTON – A number of black evangelical leaders are rising up as a new voice in the conservative movement traditionally dominated by white Protestants. Their centerpiece agendas are abortion and same-sex “marriage” – the same two key social issues emphasized by most conservative evangelicals. But unlike the typical white evangelical Christian that is most likely part of the conservative wing of the Republican party, these African American leaders may be card-carrying Democrats but willing to switch over to the Republican side if their conservative values are addressed. Bishop Harry R. Jackson, Jr., who heads the socially conservative black pastors group...

Last week Glenn got a call from a very impressive young man named Jerome Hudson, who told Glenn he had written an op-ed during the 2008 election on being a black conservative. He sent it in and it's fantastic. Enjoy! While attending a black fraternity party, I recently learned it’s a bad idea to profess one’s affinity for Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity. Worse, according to current polls, it appears I may be the only black 22 year old in America who will be voting for Sen. John McCain. It’s not that I was unaware that...

Irrespective of race, it seems that nowadays the primary question asked when deciding which party to support is, “What will you do for me (and my downtrodden brethren)?” Looking at the “comments” section of an article about diversifying the GOP, it’s clear that for many African Americans, the answer expected from and assumed of Republicans is: nothing. (One of Asim’s reader’s comments: ” The Republican Party has not done anything in recent time to warrant an AFRICAN AMERICAN caring about it.”) This despite the fact that it was Richard Nixon who signed the first major application of affirmative action into...

At a tea party in Lakewood Ranch Florida, I invited all veterans to join me on stage as I sang “God Bless the USA” in tribute to them. It was truly a moving experience. Veterans, old, young and active service men and women came forward. The audience applauded wildly expressing their love for them. Such tributes NEVER happen at left wing secular progressive events. Their goal is ALWAYS about tearing down America, as opposed to Celebrating America, which I do in my original song, “Celebrate America”. Regarding the “hyphenated American issue”. I begin every rally/tea party with, “I am NOT...

Like global warming, swine flu and everything else wrong in the world, racist, sexist and homophobe, Rush Limbaugh is largely responsible for who I am today. In 1993, I had a great job as Art Dept. supervisor at an ABC affiliate TV station in Baltimore. The same station where Oprah was co-host on our morning show, years earlier. While minding my own business, my favorite radio talk show host was replaced with Rush Limbaugh. I thought, “Who is this wise guy?” A week later, I was hooked. Unapologetic, Rush courageously and boldly said everything I felt. Rush became my HERO!...

PRINCETON, N.J., Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Republicans and black Democrats in the United States are in near agreement on the moral acceptability of homosexual relations, a Gallup Poll indicates. Only 31 percent of black Democrats said gay relations were morally acceptable while 31 percent of Republicans agreed with that position, Gallup results released Wednesday indicated. Sixty-one percent of non-black Democrats said they found same-sex relations morally acceptable. The fact that black Democrats more closely align with Republicans on this issue is significant, given that blacks overwhelmingly identify themselves as Democrats, the Princeton, N.J., polling agency said.

By Christopher Cook Part of how we interface with our existence is by inferring general principles through observation of observed patterns. In other words, we pay attention, we see something happen over and over, and we develop a general rule for that pattern. Take the way the left deals with black people, for example:If the black person in question is on the political left, it doesn't matter is he is a businessman or thug. There is nothing he or she can do that is wrong. He could be a cop-killer, and embezzler, a racist . . . and as long as...

CNN's Rick Sanchez is absolutely incredulous over the fact that there might be some black people out there who don't support Barack Obama. In an incredible double standard, Sanchez on his League of First Time Voters show has trouble believing that a black person could not be supporting Obama yet you will never hear him express shock that a white person could decide to vote for Obama. Sanchez asks one of the men if there is "any source of pride" that would cause them to vote for Obama. Of course you would never hear Sanchez ask the same thing of...

Traditions die hard...unfortunately. So many African Americans are voting for Obama ONLY because he is black and ONLY because they've voted for democratic candidates all their lives. Many I know are pro-life, but traditions die hard. Obama brings something that many African Americans have been waiting for: legitimacy in being an American. Slavery caused us to be Americans w/o choice in the matter. Many have struggled to be viewed by society as equal and just as significant as any other person. But we can't vote for the President based on skin color and party tradition. The government can't take care...

Is America ready for a black president? Absolutely; it has been for some time. We probably would have had one by now if the black community had ever supported a conservative the way they are now supporting one of the most liberal. More than likely the first black president will be a Republican. On August 5, the New York Young Republican Club had a fund-raiser in Manhattan for Colonel Allen West, who is running for Congress. The irony is that Colonel West is running for Congress in Florida and therefore has a chance. The black community in New York only...

Partisan liberal Democrats should have good reason to fear the candidacy of LTC Allen West. Not only is LTC West a legitimate threat to make Ron Klein a one term congressman in Florida’s 22nd Congressional District, LTC West also has the potential to become an effective national spokesman for the Republican Party by virtue of his commanding persona coupled with his impressive background and credentials- provided that his insurgent campaign is ultimately successful. FL-22 is Clay Shaw’s old district, running up and down Atlantic oceanfront in Palm Beach and Broward Counties from Jupiter all the way down to Fort Lauderdale....

Oh, no, not another "blacks in America" news special! One of the cable networks recently put together another one of these "specials" on what it's like to be black in America. The network asked a conservative friend of mine to participate. He sent the following letter; and I wrote back. Dear Larry, OK, Larry, I grew up a bit last night. Those (unflattering descriptive deleted) at that news network on cable used me like a two-dollar whore! I interviewed with them for almost 10 hours, and all that talk was whittled down into five-second sound bites that put me in...

Conservative commentator Armstrong Williams, who is African-American, says he's torn between voting for Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama in the November presidential election. "Many conservatives who happen to be black see it as a dilemma because they're wondering what they're going to tell their children and grandchildren 20 years from now when they had a chance in American history, which is rare and has never happened before, to pull the lever [for a black presidential candidate]," Williams tells host Michele Norris. "It creates quite a dilemma because there's not something wrong with Sen. John McCain; he's very impressive."...

According a very poor analysis offered this week by the Politico, which was highlighted by Drudge for all of about half a hour before he realized how false it was and removed it, the “GOP is heading into the 2008 election without a single minority candidate with a plausible chance of winning a campaign for the House, the Senate or governor.” (snip) Governor Jindal is one of the nation’s foremost chief executives. But the leadership he exemplifies is even more abundantly found in one of the GOP’s foremost congressional candidates, Lt. Col. Allen West. And one would have to be...

A number of friends of mine have commented on an odd phenomenon that they have observed — conservative Republicans they know who are saying that they are going to vote for Barack Obama. It seemed at first to be an isolated fluke, perhaps signifying only that my friends know some strange conservatives. But apparently columnist Robert Novak has encountered the same phenomenon and has coined the term "Obamacons" to describe the conservatives for Senator Obama. Now the San Francisco Chronicle has run a feature article, titled "Some Influential Conservatives Spurn GOP and Endorse Obama." In it they quote various conservatives...

I felt the following quote requires some further commentary… "I'm confused as to why any African American would be a Republican in this day and age." — Robin Wright-Jones, (D) Missouri State Representative With all due respect to Representative Wright-Jones, I can't understand why more blacks haven't jumped the Democrat ship. Granted, with decades of vilification, I can understand why people decide to avoid the public ridicule one would be exposed to as a black Republican. While many, including former Washington D.C. mayor Marion Barry, mistakenly believe (for example) President Lincoln was a Democrat, the belief that Democrats are the...

Recent comments by well-known black Republicans J.C. Watts and Armstrong Williams that they're conflicted about the upcoming presidential elections and are contemplating voting for Barack Obama have sent shock waves through the Republican Party. I'm hearing many black Republicans echoing similar sentiments. They say that because of the historical significance of casting a vote for the first legitimate black presidential candidate, they may cross party lines. These statements don't surprise me.

‘They’re going to try to make you afraid of me,” Barack Obama told the audience at a Jacksonville fundraiser last month. “He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black?” Obama was doing here by inference what many of his supporters do more explicitly. Obama’s candidacy, in their view, puts American voters to the test: Are they open-minded enough to vote for a black candidate? Or are they still so overcome by racial prejudice as to reject the first black candidate with a serious chance to win? There are obviously problems with this....

From the black conservatives who brought you radio ads two years ago claiming that the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican come the new summer blockbusters: ads calling Sen. Barack Obama a racist and an elitist. King, of course, was an independent, not a Republican -- but that didn't stop the National Black Republican Association (NBRA) from airing their claim on urban radio. Now spots entitled "Arrogant Obama" and "Bitter Obama" are coming to radio stations serving black America, where more than 90 percent of voters supported Obama in Democratic primaries. The NBRA ads will begin airing July...

What is it about black Republicans that makes black Democrats cuss them, ignore them, or call them names? When I was a Democrat, I never paid much attention to the negativity hurled at black Republicans. That’s probably because I never bought into the habit of gossiping about people or calling them names. My main focus had always been about people’s deeds – whether positive or negative. I judged people by what they did, not by whom they were. So it came as a culture shock when I switched to the Republican Party – mainly because of how other people began...

Last summer, after writing a fantasy-column about what "President" Dick Cheney might have done during those few hours of presidential powers he held while George W. Bush was hospitalized for minor surgery, I received an email from Lt. Col. Allen West (USA ret.) (pictured above). He thanked me for including him the following "presidential" reverie: Mr. Cheney checked his watch. It was already 35 minutes into his "presidential" term, but he had plenty of time left to issue presidential pardons for border agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean (now serving excessively harsh terms for wounding a fleeing drug...
