  • Black Conservatives to Hold Event to Counter Annual NAACP Conference

Black conservatives will hold a conference in the same hotel in Las Vegas as the NAACP conference next week. This comes after conservative Deneen Borelli was denied booth space at the conference the past two years. Townhall reported: For two years the NAACP has denied a request by conservative author Deneen Borelli to speak at their annual conference. When Borelli, who is an employee of the conservative group FreedomWorks, attempted to pay for booth space at last year’s National NAACP conference in Florida, they were told there was no room for them despite plenty of exhibit space remaining open. For We the People, Obama’s time in office has thus far been tantamount to a march through hell with the complete deconstruction of America strapped to our backs and with despair and immiseration clinched in our teeth. And for the privilege of being unwilling participants in this death march, Obama believes we should be grateful. Obama has usurped and overrun congressional authority in less time than it took for the Kudzu vine to overrun the South. Some years back I wrote: “Many in America wanted to be proud when the first person of color was elected president, but instead, they...

Illinois Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn is in some hot water with the Jewish community after his campaign tweeted—and then quietly deleted—several messages urging backers to read an article comparing black Republican voters to Jews who collaborated with the Nazis. Chicago Sun Times readers were stunned last week to find that writer Neil Steinberg has penned a column comparing black supporters of Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner to Jews who collaborated with the Nazis against their brethren. “As a general rule, individuals will sell out the interests of their groups in return for personal benefit,” Steinberg wrote in his column, which...

The Rev. William Barber, head of North Carolina's chapter of the left-wing NAACP, recently said this about black, tea-party-supported Republican U.S. Sen. Tim Scott, S.C.: "A ventriloquist can always find a good dummy." Sounds like Barber might have mentored an ex-high school classmate with whom I recently had the following exchange: Ex-Classmate: "Uncle Tom in its purest form, that's Larry Elder, you hate your own people, need your ass kicked. ... Journalists and Democrats have designated a new Republican scandal: Bishop Earl W. Jackson "compared" Planned Parenthood to the Ku Klux Klan. On May 18, Jackson became the Republican nominee for lieutenant governor of Virginia in this November's 2013 elections. An important detail in this drama is that Bishop Jackson is African-American. Much more alarming, Jackson has been leading a hard-hitting campaign to call on Blacks to leave the Democrat Party. You know our political discourse has lost its moorings when it’s the Republicans who play that famous race card in defending one of their own. The person in need of defense is Dr. Ben Carson, a renowned Johns Hopkins surgeon. Carson happens to be black, Yale-educated — and conservative. When will liberals stop living in the past? Specifically, when will they accept that they aren't all that stands between a wonderful, tolerant America and Jim Crow? I was in the room when, during the Democratic convention, civil rights hero John Lewis suggested that Republicans wanted to "go back" to the days when black men like him could be beaten in the street by the enforcers of Jim Crow.       Déjà Vu: Slandering Black Conservatives David C. Stolinsky Nov. 3, 2011 We’ve seen it all before, and we hoped not to see it again − but we are, 20 years later. “It” is the hypocrisy of Democrats. “It” is the thinly veiled racism of liberals. “It” is the disgusting stereotype of the hypersexual black male, which used to be spread by Southern Klansmen, but now is spread by Northern liberals. I used to put “liberals” in quotes when I pointed out the profoundly illiberal beliefs that some so-called liberals hold. But if people define themselves as liberals, who...
  • Coulter:Politico's Smear Of Cain Shows Liberal Media "Terrified Of Strong, Conservative, Black Men"

Ann Coulter responds to a report from the "liberal publication" Politico that Herman Cain sexually harassed two women while he was the president of the National Restaurant Association. The most damning part of the report, which is not well sourced, seems to be that Mr. Cain made "physical gestures" that weren't sexual in nature, but made the women uncomfortable: There were also descriptions of physical gestures that were not overtly sexual but that made women who experienced or witnessed them uncomfortable and that they regarded as improper in a professional relationship.

What to do about Herman Cain? This question goes not to the Republican Party, where "establishment" candidates like Mitt Romney privately dismiss Cain as lacking the experience, gravitas and resources to beat President Barack Obama and then to soundly govern the country. Herman Cain is not going to be the GOP nominee. Without a serious star-power staff, a ground game, chits to be called in by the candidate or the candidate's influential network of friends of influence, the "fat cats" sit on their checkbooks until and unless they believe their horse can win. A serious presidential candidate is not one...

The highlight of every Tea Party Express tour is the extraordinary American patriots I meet. Felix is from Russia and became a proud American 16 years ago. I shared with Felix that for years I performed my original song, “Celebrate America”, at U.S. Immigration Citizenship Ceremonies. I was struck by the number of seniors tearfully taking the oath of citizenship; some so old they were in wheelchairs and some needing support by family members to stand. Why was it important for these seniors to become official U.S. citizens despite their ages? Felix, formerly a Russian, replied, “When you have lived...

Herman Cain defies the stereotype of blacks as liberal. And his embrace of conservatism and rugged individualism might make him the Republicans' best salesman – and counter to Obama. Black candidates must be especially image savvy to navigate the delicate contours of today’s racial politics. They must cultivate racial appeal, without provoking racial resentment, and expend their racial capital, without succumbing to the litany of stereotypes whites associate with them. We thought Barack Obama mastered this art, believing future black candidates must learn at his feet. But Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain might prove more teacher than apprentice. My co-author,...

E.W. Jackson's Campaign Kick-Off! Dear Friend, Americans are calling for a new era of leadership, and two weeks ago I announced my intention to answer that call by stepping forward to serve Virginia as its next United States Senator. The history of my family in Virginia dates back to around 1778, the period of the Revolutionary War. Only in American can an heir of former slaves become a candidate for the United States Senate. All of our ancestors suffered to give us this freedom we enjoy, and now that freedom is threatened by oppressive debt, confiscatory taxation and job killing...
