For the first time, Rep. Michele Bachmann – who is actively considering a run for the White House in 2012 -- has said that the birth certificate President Obama has released to the public puts an end to the "birther" issue. It came when I showed her the copy of the Certificate of Live Birth published on FactCheck.org.
It happened this morning on “GMA.” Here’s the key exchange:
Stephanopoulos: Last night you were on Fox News suggesting the president should come forward with his birth certificate as well --
Bachmann: Well, what I have said about that is, I was asked a question about that and Republicans are constantly asked to vouch for the authenticity of the birth certificate. The only one who can is the clerk of court in the county where someone is born and that’s where people should go. Don’t ask Republicans, go ask the clerk of court.

I dont think it is necessarily “Was he born in Hawaii?” I think it goes beyond that particular question and most commetators do not understand this. “Who is Barak Obama” Who the hell is he????

A Certificate of Live Birth does not equal a Birth Certificate.
A publishing in a newspaper does not equal a Birth Certificate.
Obviously Stephanopoulos is VERY concerned about this issue or he would not keep talking about it. Where there is smoke there is fire.
Others have written that even if he was born in Hawaii unless his FATHER was a US citizen he is not qualified to be president.
Hawaii certifies the Obama was legally born in the state to an American mother. Like it or not, that does pretty much end the argument until someone can come up with actual proof he wasn’t. (I don’t think he was, but a man’s got to know his limits.)
Why such a monumental effort to lock up so much of his early records?
This comes down on the Democratic Party...and Nancy Pelosi who certified that he was THEIR CANDIDATE for the Highest Office in the Land!

If Bachmann doesn’t realize the difference in citizenship class between having two parents who are citizens and having one parent who is a foreign national, she doesn’t deserve to hold the office of President
