Presumably there won’t be comments about “Holder’s people” on this one. The streak of depravity and lack of respect for human life that runs through American society these days cuts across all racial lines.

To belabor the obvious, this is not normal mischief.
However, I suspect one or more of these factors not mentioned in the article: gang activity, interracial tensions (the two lovers might not have been both white or black), and heavy occult involvement. “Loud music” sure, was it Beethoven or was it death metal?
