Before the statement was removed on Obama’s Fight the Smears website, Obama issued a statement he was native born and his citizenship was governed by the 1948 British Nationality Act. I take him at his word.
I would like for Obama to explain why a Natural born citizen has their citizenship governed by the British.

We've seen this with Sarah, who has spent a lot of her personal energy in a slugfest with the MEdia, energy that could have been so much better directed.
Bachmann has a deep well of goodwill so far.

IMHO Bachmann is getting bad advice. She should toss Rove under the bus and bet more combative. She’d win the nomination.

This is why people like Trump. I really like Bachmann but if she can’t handle little Stephie, she wouldn’t have a chance with a full on media assault that would be assured if she was the Republican candidate.
I myself am a birther from early on but I’m pragmatic enough to know that this isn’t the hill to die on.
Less than a week after the democrat strategy memo about using the eligibility issue came out, my (then campaigning) congressman was hit with questions about it left and right. His basic answer was (paraphrasing) “As far as I know, president Obama met the eligibility requirements but the people have a right to ask and have their questions answered”.
Naturally that answer wasn’t good enough for the birther taliban, they’d rather throw a congressman with an ACU rating north of 95% overboard and chase Donald Trump’s traveling salvation and snake oil show.
These people will be directly responsible for Obama’s reelection.
The rule of law and the Constitution are fundamental. Without rule of law and the Constitution NOTHING else matters! NOTHING!
If we had been faithfully following the Constitution would there now be 3 military “actions” in three theaters, a debt problem, and gas prices and unemployment rising to stratestrophic levels?
So that when the marxist MEdia leftists try to pin them down and isolate the debate to this issue and coerce a quote (or half quote or made-up quote) designed to alienate and confuse conservatives and moderates.... our leaders can BUST OUT and move forward ....... on offense.
The scene is set, the GOP has 30 seconds (figuratively) to get the attention and the vote of half of America. The clock is ticking.
