Why is the ludicrous birther conspiracy theory so widespread? A Public Policy Polling survey this week showed that 48 percent of Iowa Republicans don't believe President Obama was born in the United States. Donald Trump’s potential presidential candidacy has support despite — or maybe because of — his “asking questions” about the president’s actual birthplace. In May, WND Books will publish “Where's the Birth Certificate?,” which, as I write, is No. 2 on Amazon.com. The author is Jerome Corsi, the man behind “Unfit for Command” and the “swiftboating” of John Kerry. The connection is important: “Birtherism” may be to the 2012 election what the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth were to 2004.

So if being a “birther” is the SAME as believing the “Swiftboaters” (who’s evidence was NEVER disproven, not even by the MSM), then I am a birther after all. Even though I don’t want to be. I’m on record saying that I do think Obama was probably born in HI, I am just baffled by all of the efforts to shut up people who are simply asking questions about the COLB.
The author writes as though Corsi writing about John Kerry and the Swiftboats should be held against Corsi.
Mr Corsi helped save us from electing the cowardly war criminal with the band-aid purple hearts from the White House.
Hopefully he can help us to put this fake president out of Public Housing.

So no-one including the Washington Post can prove what hospital he was born in and they think we’re crazy. The real truth is that they have so much invested in Obama that have to hang on at all costs. In addition, what if it were proved that he wasn’t legit? No MSM could stand because they will have been stripped bare of any fig leaf of credibility they have for not outing him in the first place.
Yep. Obama was perfectly happy to see Col. Lakin’s life and career ruined for his own selfish purposes.
Today our local radio has had on the news every hour the story of ‘a soldier who refused to obey order. Col. Lakin was sentenced to 6 months, etc. etc., etc.’ My memory is that he was sentenced in December and taken right off to Leavenworth. Is there a reason it’s on news today (4/11/11)?
Because this 'conspiracy' is 1,000% Obama's fault for refusing to do what any rational, honest and above board individual would have done the first time a question was raised: release his original Hawaiian birth certificate from 1961.

As far as “Swiftboating” is concerned a little
history is in order. In modern prez/vp political
campaigns Dan Quayle was the first candidate to
be ripped about his failure to serve in the military
in a war zone. This was true even though WWII com-
bat fighter pilot GHW Bush was at the top of the tic-
ket. That Dem strategy failed. In ‘92 the GOP tried
to return the favor by attacking Clinton. It didn’t
work for the GOP either. In fact Kerry stuck-up for
Clinton. In ‘96 the GOP tried this tactic again with
WWII combat wounded Bob Dole against the incumbent
Clinton. The tactic still didn’t work. In ‘00 the
Dems took their shots at GW’s military record and,
again, the tactic failed.
So, by ‘04 one would think that both parties would
give up on playing the war record card, but not Kerry.
He whooped it out against an incumbent GOP prez and
got called on his own record. Boo freakin’ hoo for
him.
On a side note, in ‘08 it appeared that the GOP did
not play the military service card although McCain’s
POW experience was a bit of a human interest story.
Anyone want to bet that the Dems won’t dredge the
military record issue up the next time they get the
chance?

Calling names has been an effective way to control the knuckle dragging masses.

CONSPIRACY THEORIST: President Kennedy was shot and killed by a lone gunman who fired three shots from the 6th floor window of the Texas School Book Depository. There are numerous theories by radicals who refuse to listen to reason, the single bullet theory while at first seeming unreasonbable, it rises to the top of all human reason and is without question correct. They are lying every time.
And how about the fact that while jurists of the stature of John Marshall and Story in our early days stated in opinions that the intent of the Framers was such that Soetoro a/k/a Obama by his own statements does not meet the constitutional requirement to be President and that other authorities highly regarded at the time such as St. George Tucker and Daniel Ramsay made the same point? And this is so whether he was born within the United States or its territories or not.
They got nothin' except bluster.
We have a lot of evidence that Obama has something to hide.
They have no evidence of anything, one way or the other.
So they resort to Alinsky's Rule for Radicals #5. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage."
It ain't working anymore, and they are so confused they don't know what to do next.

The the "natural born citizen"/father's nationality issue, no matter the merits, it ain't never gonna happen. You can take that to the bank.
