Gay Marriage Effort Taps GOP Strategists (NY State GOP Insiders)
Wall Street Journal ^ | 4/22/11 | Jacob Gershman

In the midst of a re-energized campaign by Gov. Andrew...a trio of Republican consultants is...[pushing] for passage.

The Gill Action Fund, a national group with an expansive donor network, has recruited lobbyist Michael Avella, a former chief counsel to ex-Senate majority leader Joe Bruno and current leader Dean Skelos, and John McArdle, a consultant who ran GOP Senate communications under Messrs. Bruno and Skelos.

Insiders of the New York GOP. What the hell has happened to our culture, folks? The only thing keeping this at bay right now, from the article, seems to be the lack of a Conservative Party endorsement for Republican candidates who vote for gay marriage.

Social degeneration continues; the traditional family has become an anomaly--divorce rates in all socioeconomic structures are way too high, fatherhood in the black community is replaced with the welfare check, homosexual relationships are normalized and even encouraged, and single mothers are more and more the norm. All the while, the political, academic, media, and entertainment power structures stand and applaud.

"Progressive thinking is winning the day!" they insist.

We need a spiritual revival in America. We DON'T need a spewing of hatred for the lost souls and shattered lives wrapped up in these lifestyles--we need people to find God. Right now they're expecting to find satisfaction in a lifestyle of dependence on government, unnatural behavior, or running wild and free--"hot to trot", they called it in earlier decades.

Prayers up for America this Resurrection Sunday.

There is evidently no political will to address (or even try to curtail) the social degeneration you describe so well because our culture has deteriorated, probably to the point of no return. I hope these folks like Muslims because I think Sharia law will shape their future.

"Progressive thinking is winning the day!"

The wicked freely strut about when what is vile is honored among men. Psalm 12:8(NIV)

We need a spiritual revival in America.

So very true. But let me fine tune that and say that we need a spiritual revival among the Christians in America so that we will boldly step out and proclaim with words and actions the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are a lot of damaged people out there, gay and straight who need what only Jesus can provide. And they won't know until we show them first and tell the true story.

Simply put, this story is indicative of the decadence of the Republican Party in New York over the last decade. No wonder they can't win statewide elections, not that they even try.

Wasn’t opposing gay marriage a winning issue for Republican State Senate candidates? Those consultants are morons.
