Libyan rebels sold Hizballah and Hamas chemical shells

Senior Libyan rebel “officers” sold Hizballah and Hamas thousands of chemical shells from the stocks of mustard and nerve gas that fell into rebel hands when they overran Muammar Qaddafi’s military facilities in and around Benghazi, DEBKAfile’s exclusive military and intelligence sources report.

Word of the capture touched off a scramble in Tehran and among the terrorist groups it sponsors to get hold of their first unconventional weapons.

According to our sources, the rebels offloaded at least 2,000 artillery shells carrying mustard gas and 1,200 nerve gas shells for cash payment amounting to several million dollars.

US and Israeli intelligence agencies have tracked the WMD consignments from eastern Libya as far as Sudan in convoys secured by Iranian agents and Hizballah and Hamas guards. They are not believed to have reached their destinations in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, apparently waiting for an opportunity to get their deadly freights through without the US or Israel attacking and destroying them.

“As you likely know, Westmoorland was under order to bring about those resaults, when politics runs a war it can only end one way”

I read Westy’s book “A Soldier Reports” he’s a fool!

Marine leadership in the Vietnam era fought him tooth and nail, to no avail, as he was the overall commander. Shame because he, more than anyone else, filled US body bags.

Can you tell I’m not a Westy fan? Reading Norman Swartzkoff’s autobiography, you’ll see that disqust with Westy almost led to Norman’s quiting the Army. Another officer convinced him to stay and become and agent of Army reform......NS set the course that has led to a much better run Army, with a better ethic/ethos.

This is silly Debka stuff.

If the Israelis knew there was a convoy carrying 2000 nerve gas shells to Hamas and Hizbollah, they would blow it up somewhere in the desert killing all associated with such a nefarious plot.

It takes a “gun” to shoot artillery shells. Is there any dope on caliber, etc.? If the desert dopes don’t have the proper hardware then the shells would be a serious liability——waiting for the story of Ahmed trying to disassemble one (snicker)

A serious question about Debka...

I occasionally visit their website but I can’t attest to their reliability.

Are they really that off-base in their reporting?

In my not so humble opinion they are not reliable. I find them more as entertainment or a good place to get your blood boiling.

Then again others here would request that the post be yanked as it is "Not a news source", heh.

Personally I feel that if Iran, Al-Queda, Hezzbollah, or the other mooslime hordes had WMD, they would have used them already.

That and 99 cents will get you a McDonald's coffee.
