LOL !!! Someone should tell that mom and pop team ( that is all Snopes is. It is a website run bu a husband and wife. The husband does the web design, the wife is the sole "investigator.) that "birthers" were not around in 2004 ( the date of the article ). Of course Snopes would try to say it was recently changed by AP. Well, if you look at the source code from the waybackmachine on the page of the article, it clearly shows it was archived in 2004 :

I remember that article and also remember people screen capturing it. I was in on the capturing of pages, then I lost my hard drive. I was able to retrieve all information from that hard drive and the new hard drive blew within 2 weeks of reloading all my data. It froze up like a brick with no recovery possible.

Things were moving fast back then and no one dared show anything here until they captured it. It’s funny to see all these new people come along stating quick get that information out. It’s been here all along! Same with that AP story!

I am glad however that more people are waking up to our usurper in office!

Yeah Snopes is really suspect. They will actually tell you what Obama “meant” or any Democrat “meant” in their statements about,say, Indians working at donut shops and 7-11’s or how it's the first time in their lives they were proud of America and so on.

Folks, there was no AP story released that said this.

However...that doesn’t explain why the Kenya Newspaper would claim he was born in Kenya - the existence of that article is not in question.

I don’t see where Snopes claimed anything of the sort. They just pointed that no article claiming Obama was Kenyan Born was released by the AP, which is correct. The article was altered in a Kenyan Newspaper, which Snopes acknowledges did exist. That, however, does raise the question as to why the Kenyan Newspaper would claim he was born in Kenya.

Does "Snopes" say why a member of the Kenyan National Assembly , and a minister of the government, also indicated that BHO was not born in the US? That was in the transcript for Thursday, 25th March, 2010, starting in the middle of page 29..

The Minister for Lands (Mr. Orengo): ... "If America was living in a situation where they feared ethnicity and did not see itself as a multiparty state or nation, how could a young man born here in Kenya, who is not even a native American, become the President of America? It is because they did away with exclusion."

I pulled that down from the website of the Kenyan National Assembly. .

But Mr. Orengo has offered less proof for that claim than Neil Abercrombie has for his claim that Obama was born in Hawaii.
