Donald Trump slammed Robert DeNiro Monday, following the Oscar-winner’s criticisms of him this weekend, telling Fox News that the actor is “not the brightest bulb on the planet.”

“I like his acting, but in terms of when I watch him doing interviews and various other things, we’re not dealing with Albert Einstein,” Trump told “Fox & Friends” Monday.

“He can say what he wants but the fact is that this guy has not revealed his birth certificate, a lot of people agree with me.”

DeNiro is among a growing number of Hollywood stars who have criticized Trump for his comments, including comedian Jerry Seinfeld.

Exactly — I DO think we need more of this thing ...in a very big way, and repeatedly.

They need to know that not everyone is going to take hearing their drivel without a firm rebuke. They have been allowed to go on too long unchallenged.

From another board:

Theory…Trump is working for Obamas team. Rahm gets Trump to go out there and throw punches at Obama. Takes the focus of the issues. Trump doesn’t win GOP but goes on as a third party. Bingo… Obama sails into the White House.

Trump’s attorney is Rahm’s brother. Trump has been given a sweet deal under the table. In the Obama admin billions have gone unaccounted for. Take a guess where some of that money ended up at? Trump is in fact a plant. Wild as all this might seem… When it comes to Obama and his Chicago thugs… Don’t underestimate them!

The Left plays dirty, and this administration is Lawless.

But I think Trump is really concerned about this country. He seems like the rest of us, concerned with what future our kids will have. He has a young child.

Obama's background is an Achilles heel, His actions indicate it. I also think that if there is another strong candidate that can stand up to the MSM and Left's tactics, Trump will back down. In the mean time he is making a difference.

I was actually stunned to hear de Niro stammer and appear nearly senile in interviews. I expected him to be sharp and clear spoken.

DeNiro and Obama have a lot in common, when their fed their lines from a script, they do fine...take it away and it's all "ummm....ummmm....ummmm...."

I've said this before, watch this campaign, it's going to be unlike anything we've ever seen, a no-holds-barred, ruthless, hard hitting bloodfest.

We are both hoping that he runs because he is the best bet to oust the Kenyan.

Trump, if he announces, will have only one objective, winning, and God help anyone who gets in the way. From Karl Rove to DeNero.

What will be delicious is that Obama won't be able to respond in kind. Because he has to appear presidential and somewhat above the fray. Obama will have to depend on surrogates getting down and dirty with the Donald. The Donald will then insult Obama as being too wimpy and cowardly to respond directly to him.
Trump is not a politician so he kind of has permission to bloody up Obama

Yes, and after Iowa, even the anti-Trump forces here on FR won’t have much ammo to use against him.

They’re going to be reduced to “He’s lying in all of his Iowa speeches”. That and pictures of his hairdoo.

See my name, I wish everyday I had The Donalds hair!

The Obama machine goes after any opponent personally. Look what garbage they have brought against Palin.

In the 2008 if anyone countered back or criticized Obama they were silenced with racism charges.

That won't work again. Now it is you are stupid if a woman and a clown if a man.

Obama's background, and his evasiveness is fair game. No reason to hold back, they will not. This is an election we can afford to lose.

Please. I am still feeling a bit queasy, when I finished my morning coffee just after lunch, as I drained it, it had coffee grounds in it.

Except that it wasn’t coffee grounds.

Ugh.

I can’t stand filthy flies, and to have one in my mouth rolling it around, wondering what it was is enough to make me hurl.

Reminds me of Senator Obama taking out his opponent with having his divorce papers unsealed.

Forgot about that!

Trump’s attorney is Rahm’s brother.

Do you know if that firm handle all of Trumps's affairs? Or does Trump use several firms?

Despicable scumbags of all political stripes and walks of life, especially the ones that operate under the pretense of impunity, cannot deal with someone that hits back.

They've depended on Republicans to be gentlemen.

I agree. It is not presidential, and certainly not diplomatic to directly call someone stupid.

Liberals have called Sarah Palin and her family names since she entered the scene.
