Donald Trump Responds to Robert DeNiro's Criticisms: 'He's Not the Brightest Bulb'

Donald Trump slammed Robert DeNiro Monday, following the Oscar-winner’s criticisms of him this weekend, telling Fox News that the actor is “not the brightest bulb on the planet.”

“I like his acting, but in terms of when I watch him doing interviews and various other things, we’re not dealing with Albert Einstein,” Trump told “Fox & Friends” Monday.

“He can say what he wants but the fact is that this guy has not revealed his birth certificate, a lot of people agree with me.”

DeNiro is among a growing number of Hollywood stars who have criticized Trump for his comments, including comedian Jerry Seinfeld.

It’s a political axiom that you cannot let stand negative comments against you that might gain traction. It’s exactly what Bush-41 refused to do, to his own detriment.

Trump is actually handling each attack against him on its own merit, or lack of same from his perspective. He’s fought back publicly against Rove, Seinfeld and now DeNiro.
On the other hand, Trump personally called Krauthammer to make his case.

No amount of persuasion would change the thinking (such as it is) with the 2 entertainers. They and their fellow celebrities are on notice that they can say what they will, but their comments will not go unchallenged.

On the other hand, Krauthammer is intelligent enough to at least reconsider when a rational argument is put before him. Trump showed respect for Krauthammer. Why would he show respect for the others? After all, DeNiro is NOT the brightest bulb.

Being a HUGE De Niro fan, I was able to get tickets to “Inside The Actors Studio” quite a few years. I was dumbfounded to hear a man that was excruciatingly and embarrassingly one of the most inarticulate people that I had ever heard. An actor idiot savant.

Interesting...

Where is it filmed?

It's glaringly obvious that DeNiro is a dim bulb, but who's had the nerve to say it in public until now? Gotta love Trump.

My wife and I refuse to go to the movies when certain actors or actresses are featured. First, a great deal of them are dim-wits who think they are the world’s gift. And, they are big time socialists. Hollywood has a long history of beingoccupied by socialists and communists who rant and rave like the spoiled children that they are............

I don’t believe for one moment that Trump is a conservative. One thing is certain, he is providing a lot more entertainment these days than Robert DeNiro is.

Maybe we should ask Seinfeld if he saw her birth certificate back in the day.

Democrats specialize in calling Republicans stupid. Now Trump's doing it to them, and no Republican has ever done that before...

Not many of the so called stars are the sharpest knife in the drawer..And Dinero is one of them.

It probably comes from years of directors' yelling "Brilliant! Brilliant!" after a take. Pretty soon the dimbulb actors start to think it's true in the general sense.

I never really cared for The Donald, but I LOVE the way he responds to critics. So refreshing to see someone hit back.

Good point, but in this case Trump clearly is brighter than Deniro.

Is it my imagination or is Deniro looking more like Maher?

Oh gads, I had no clue....

She looks as angry as Moocher Antoinette, at least in that photo... Chip on her shoulder and all. And didn’t get the message from her leader Moocher that “dessert is not a right.”

His taste in women is almost as bad as his taste in politics.

The photograph certainly does Deniro justice!

And, by the way...what is that woman wearing who is viewed just to the left of the guy who appears to be Arlen Specter...?
